Subject: i13 OVERHAUL for V4 and Perfect V4 Complete

Bendinggrass ( ) posted Thu, 15 November 2012 at 1:00 PM · edited Wed, 06 November 2024 at 12:10 PM

These great items are about to be on sale.

Do these items do the same thing?

If there are differences, what are they and how do they affect the results.

I am wondering about which item to get.

Thanks.

Good question, be nice to get feedback (assuming lurk position)

Lurk position works very well... I have learned much through lurk position.....

I am not sure on the i13 Overhaul but I do have the perfect series which I use with V4WM.  I find it works very well and I also like the way you can control the degree to which the effect can be applied.  Most of the time it is automatic but with certain poses the ability to adjust the level of the effect is very welcome.

From what I could see of Overhaul it serves very much the same purpose but perhaps other users can advise.  In my case I was happy with what I had with the perfect series and therefore was not looking for another solution.  If I were, I would certainly try Overhaul as I have a number of products from the same vendor and have never been dissappointed

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

I have both and can only echo what was said before: Perfect V4 is more adjustable - since I got it I have made all my V4 chracters with it, and now the updated "complete" system is out (easier to work with, one button to apply) I am even happier - the only sort-of problem is that it means I have not really tried i13's offering to compare it!

What i13 DOES have that XandM doesn't is a version for M4 as well. That is gold. Thanks to i13 for that !

I'll be watching this thread.

I'm one of the creators of the Perfect V4 series - if you ever have any questions, feel free to send me a message. :) I won't list the differences or compare the two - but I recommend looking at the promo images, the feature list and what is included with each of the products to help you decide.

No worries...you have me sold.  Waiting for payday.

I have both and use both, though not at the same time.

I think the Perfect series is better most of the time. But on some more extreme morphs, it just doesn't work all that well. And on others (with many 3rd party morph packs), I've noticed conflicts. It's then that I turn to i3's Overhaul.

so perhaps better to say they compliment each other to a certain extent?

and is it possible to use them at the same time?

or even would you want to?

Hi Xameva

I tested Perfect Thighs on V4-WM. I ran the Perfect Script, applied Booty To Thigh, then Perfect Thighs. Not so good! Although it DOES work beautifully on a stock V4.2 (looks good!).  It may be running afoul of the helper bones with V4-WM.

We put (The Team) a lot of effort into getting the thighs right with V4-WM (I was a fanatical beta tester).

I am going to try Perfect Booty on a new copy-I DO like the way that looks-better than V4-WM IMHO!

I wonder if anyone tried the perfect Elbows fix on V4-WM? The toes?

Good news! The Perfect Booty morph works with V4-WM. I tried several poses. Giving it a more rounded look. Better IMHO!

I know the toes work for sure, and I remember someone saying the Neck fix/detail does well too. I'm not sure on the rest though - hopefully someone who has used V4WM with the fixes more thoroughly can answer your question!

hornet3d ( ) posted Sun, 18 November 2012 at 6:12 PM

I have used the Perfect series with V4WM, in fact I haven't used anything but V4WM since it was available.  I purchased each of the Perfect package as they became available and have not had a problem with any of the poses I have used.  As I stated before I have had to adjust the strength of the effect on some poses but I have never yet reverted to removing the Perfect morphs or using the non-weight-mapped V4.

Of course there may be some poses that do not work but I have not found them yet which is close on a year as I purchased the Perfect botty way back in Dec 2011 according to my order summary.
