How many frames?
Did you do a drape before the sim, if so how many drape frames?
All the best.

I normally go at frame 20 for the pose.
Try with between 5 and 10 for the drape to start with.
Switch on cloth colission.
When doing the Clothify, try a different seeting than the usual 1.00 for the Collision Offset. Try .75 or .50.
All the best.

That spot under the arm looks like the upper arm is intersecting the body.

Everything needs room and space.
Try to put 2 gallon in a one gallon bucket.
If the vertex have no room to go into???? This is what one gets?
67.000 + faces??? Hello, goodmorning.
Secondly?
I have seen this happening with other "oversize" clothing.
Closer fitting clothing usually works better.
Third?
Are there groups???? Welded groups??
Dynamic works best with one single group.
Last:
Check and X-check that there is NO intersection of the cloth and the figure at frame 1.

Oh, and what of the resolution? I can see by the size of the spikes there at the shoulder the res is fairly low. And they're right about the armpit. Dynamic cloth doesn't like to be pinched.
One more thing...and don't feel bad because EVERYONE does this....but 30 frames isn't enough for a good drape. You need more. More frames for the fabric to decide where it wants to go. I normally run 100 and put the pose at 75. It has 75 frames to decide where to go.
Your fold resistance also looks like it might be high. Turn it to 1.0 or 1.5 and see what happens. Parts that are folding need to, well, fold. LOL.

Edit: I reread your post and it looks like you have more than enough mesh. If you leave the defaults that's no good. The default cloth density is really pretty stiff. Try doubling it. Also, you don't really need cloth self collision unless you have a layer of cloth touching another layer. Turn that off. I never, EVER leave the cloth settings at the default unless I wanna drape a piece of burlap :P.
@vilters - I thought that number extremely high, also. I exported the un-subdiveded mesh and brought it back in w/o V4. How does 288 faces sound to you? Presumedly, Blender was counting all faces in the scene, which included V4. The clothing fits her very closely. It is one of the things LLF taught me. It surely does not appear so in the render from the cloth room. Back to the drawing board...
@LaurieA - thanks for the tips. I am going by a tutorial by Propschick or Biscuits - can't remember which. I will use your settings. You are getting to be my go-to girl, young lady. Many thanks...

288 faces? if that equates to polys , the dress is way too low in resolution.
you need at least a few thousand polys ( 8 to 10 for a dress) for it to look anything like
good.
grab one of the freebies here and look at the poly count in Blender.
the way the mesh 'flows' can also make a big difference in how it drapes as well;
if you can approximate the way the polys flow to a similar way as the figure itself, the drape will be smoother.
Yes at 288, I agree that is on the extremely Low Poly count side.
Time for a wireframe view.
For best calculations, the clothing mesh should have the +/- the same poly density as the underlying figure.
A few 1.000 for a Jacket.

Agree, do a single subdiv, export it and test.
If no improvement, do another subdiv on the original mesh (that would be 2 subdivs at the moment), export and test.
Keep upping the subdiv by another one each time until you get the effect you need.
All the best.

See how the mesh now has more polys to play with.
Could still be a bit on the low side.

As you can see, again the poly count has gone up.
The more polys you have to work with, the better the drape in the cloth room.
All the best.

@3anson - the 288 poly count is the low-res count before subD. LLF teaches to model with as low as a poly count as possible, which I struggle with. I am used to working with more polys.
@LaurieA - yes, I originally posted that poly count was 67,162 faces, but I did not take into consideration that the V4 .obj was being counted as well. I was reading the stats wrong.
@paganeagle2001 - your info and screen shots are priceless. I very much appreciate your help and the input of the others. Later today I will make the subD's and test. Too many "honey-do's" right now.
Thanks to all.

@pqgnqeagle2001 - the following 2 images are the wireframe images you requested. They are of the low-res and subD'd mesh. The third image is my final results. I used LaurieA's sim of 100 frames with pose @ frame 75 for these results. I set fold resistance at 1.0 as she also advised. One thing I am finding is when I bring the obj into Poser, I have to scale it up to 105% and also scale on the X & Zed axis to make it fit. It should come in fitting as well as it does in Blender, I would think. I also tried to set groups in AGE, but had the same scale issues. I am about ready to give up and start over. I have never had this issue n the cloth room before. This is very discouraging to me. I went so far as to subD 3 times, giving a face ciount of 34+K, and tried everything in between. This is getting ridiculous. Possibly someone can immediately spot the iossues with my mesh. Thanks to all who have contributed...

Hi, Gang~
Having some real issues in the cloth room. As you can see in the image, the mesh is broken and scrunched up so badly it is unacceptable. I am using PP2010. I leave most settings at default when in the cloth room. I DO check cloth self-collision. This dress is one I have created in Blender, following instructions from a tutorial by Lady Little Fox at RDNA. She is a superb modeler, and her tutorial is excellent. Subdivided, there are 67,162 faces, so I feel that there is sufficient polys for it to play nicely in the cloth room. This is an ongoing problem for just about everything I model, and it is giving me fits. I am sure that a more experienced modeler than I am can tell me what I am doing wrong. Any help much appreciated...
Peace,
Charlie~
