Subject: Tiny Fluffy Cat Holiday Freebie

sandman_max ( ) posted Sun, 30 December 2012 at 12:54 PM · edited Fri, 03 January 2025 at 6:57 AM

I just tried to run the Tiny Fluffy Cat freebie that Rendo had during the 4 week holiday giveway, but there's seems to be a missing AbyssinianMat.pz2 file.  I can't find anything about it or the pages where the giveaways are located or who even made the cat.  Does anybody else know anything about this?

I think the vendor is Tiny, you can check on this page - http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/fluffy-cat/94626

for the vendor contact information.

When I was downloading the Christmas freebies, I did wonder how it would work correctly because you need the Daz Cat and the item has to be converted with RTJava or RTEncoder.

I hope you get it working, I have not installed it yet since I am still installing all the Rendo Christmas freebies.  We really had the most wonderful freebies from Rendo.  I am in Poser heaven.  Maybe soon, I will be in render heaven.  If I can get these installed.

Good Luck

I guess I have most everything I need because it installed.  I don't remember it asking for RTEncoder.

Thanks for the info.  I'll contact the vendor and post back here if there's anything special we need to do.

Thanks!

I installed the cat, and it loads.  But no texture map.  It is looking for "NEWnickieMap.jpg" and there is no texture folder.

I rendered the cat to see what happens and the head and legs are missing the fur.  BUT, the body of the cat looks great.  I have to get her package of cats if they turn out that good.

I am using PP2012, XP pro, 32 bit.  It was slow, but I can live with it if the cats look that good.

I have the MilCat and there's an abysinian texture for that, so I tried to manually map the texture to the Tiny Fluffy cat but it rendered blue and green.  It's still really cute, very fluffy.  I don't know anything about the Hair room though so I'm going to have to wait for Tiny to help fix the kitty.

Have you received any answer yet?

I think the texture used is this one, by Lyne:

Yes, that's what Tiny said it was.  I just uploaded an image to my gallery if y'all want to see.

Hi everybody!

There was a missunderstanding and Renderosity posted the wrong file, uncoded and without any instructions, so I had them take it off the give away. Sorry about that.

Send me an email to eva -at- bytiny.com and I'll give you a download link for the real, encoded package. There are instructions in it how to decode and where to download the texture and there are picture tutorials.

This is what if should look like when installed properly and rendered.

Hi Tiny, I went to your website earlier and found when using Internet Explorer that I'd get a Java notification in the corner of the screen then for some reason it would try to re-direct me to another website. Needless to say I closed the browser immediately and ran a scan but luckily nothing showed up, however when I used Google Chrome everything was fine and just to check I also tried Firefox and there weren't any problems. I did download the model and it works well. Thanks for your generosity.  😄

Thanks for the info. I'm using Ecwid as the store plugin on top of Wordpress. If I understand it right Ecwid uses Java so that was probably what Explorer "flagged".

Thank you for the Fluffy Cat, Tiny! S/he's adorable--and I have the Nicky-cat texture, so all should be good and wonderful for rendering a new kitteh!
