Some of you may have noticed me 'lurking' about...is it true this place has had a makeover? I'm taking it on the word of Dr. Legume that all is well again. So..as a peace offering betwixed clans I offer my first render to this site since the new ownership. This render was created while attempting to make my own version of the Computer Arts magazine cover. Believe it or not YOU too can get a hold of hair like this if you're quick enough to get to your local book store! The background? Yep, also in the latest issue. Here's the rundown - In the cd you can obtain the same preset sky, crackly mud, trees, mountains, coat, hair, texture for coat and hair, and the completed images as they are supposed to look incase you haven't the skill yet to make them from scratch. You will also find a tutorial on how to make the cover image inside the magazine! It's a great mag and hey now it's even GREATER in my opinion for giving out FREESTUFF (otherwise known as FUNSTUFF where I come from)for poser and bryce! I hope you all find my peace offering acceptable Regards, PAN~ :)

Pan Yes, it's true - this site has been taken over by DSI, and will be undergoing a major overhaul - and we're all glad to see you :) I've got that issue of CA, and I've done the self-same picture (almost) and I think your 100% right about the magazine. Paul

Thank you Paul! It's nice to be welcomed. I must admit I was pretty unsure of any return whatsoever since the night of all those bonfires! Like Lot, I feared to 'look' back at the chaos! Hopefully, all will be well again and this forum will see the return of many old members. I'd like to take this moment to INVITE many members here to visit MY home as well, we could be cultural exchange students (in a forum sense)sharing ideas and textures and models and gossip about whose rendering with this one after dark (wink wink hehehe) It's located at www.poserforum.net Thanks again! PAN~

Hey Pan!! Great to see ya here!! The good Doctor Legume is correct, we have indeed had a huge makeover and working to make things even more exciting for people!! I think the most exciting thing is the fact that everyone is getting back together again and sharing, not just here but also on www.poserforum.net!! I look forward to seeing you again, either over there (yes I do visit there :o) ) or over here. And it looks like I am going to have to go out to Border's bookstore and beg them to get Computer Arts magazine again... Unfortunately I was only able to find the mag once and then the store closed down :o( Hope to see you again soon!! Jack

Thank you! I must say it's great to be treated so warmly! I too have had a hard time locating the mag at times (VERY disappointed I missed ONE issue last month) but I finally subscribed and so I should hopefully get it via mail each month. Although I do have a bone to pick with them concerning the 'state' my magazine arrived in....I'd swear it was run OVER by the plane FIRST before being shipped to America.... PAN~

Hey! Long time no see!!!! Welcome back! The image looks great, and I hope that you stick around to show off even more =) Thanks for the info about the magazine...I'm gonna sneak out of work right now to go pick it up. Clinton

Pan, do they have a website address in the magazine? I'd like to head out over to it and put an order in for a subscription ( save my butt some gas money hunting around for it ). Thanks!! Jack

Pan, hi, its me again Could you do me a favor when you get a chance? Could you please e-mail me at JDKammerJr@aol.com I tried to e-mail you from here, but it bounced back to me. Thanks!! Jack

Sure ....eh....am I in trouble? Am I going to be taken to some darkened back lot to be pummeled by the Poser 2 males? Anyhow this is the URL that comes up in the book but it's rather funny that NOW that I've got a complaint I can't ACCESS the site! Hmmm... www.computerarts.co.uk It's Britain's biggest selling graphics mag (or so they say...) Hope it works for you it's not working for me... PAN~

SewerRat ( ) posted Sat, 20 November 1999 at 12:06 AM

any chance of grabbing that cracked ground from someone? I've never seen that magazine around (in australia) but that's probably because my newsagent just doesn't get it in.... checking out their webpage =) SewerRat

LoboUK ( ) posted Sat, 20 November 1999 at 3:20 AM

SewerRat I'll zip the cracked ground and the material file together and e-mail them to you. Paul

Eshal ( ) posted Sat, 20 November 1999 at 4:07 AM

SewerRat Just ask your newsagent to get it in..if they wont I'll get my newsagent to send it to you...though I live up north. Mind you we are about 1 month behind so we'll have to wait a while for this one. Regards Eshal

thanks to both lobo: thanking you muchly, if you can't get it through the poserforum my e-mail is poserstuff@apocx.hypermart.net eshal: shall do, but I'm just a bit wary of the costs, I'm living on a budget and can't really afford more than a few dollars a month for magazines, and here generally they'll sell for $10-$20 min if they come with a cd etc. which is fine once off, but not monthly (ok I know I'm a skinflint) actually my newsagent is really good at ordering things in, but I'll have to tell them each and every issue because they wouldn't stock it for just me :/ maybe I can watch the forum and every time one makes a buzz I'll ask them for it =) SewerRat

PANdaRUS ( ) posted Sat, 20 November 1999 at 11:35 AM

Rest assured I'll keep ya informed (I've got me a subscription!) PAN~
