Its been very impressive to look at the streets and see people standing and cars stopped. Just three minutes of silence. Its not much but our humble way to remember the victims, the lost and their families. I wish all those who suffer the consequenses of this evil act all the strenght that God can give them. I totally agree, Henk, this was a wonderful demonstration of how much we support our friends that have suffered from this tragedy. I am located in a normally very busy office. During the three minutes we spent in silence, not a single telephone rang, meaning that other people obviously respected this manifestation as well. It was a very powerful feeling.

As an American who lives in Germany, I just want to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to all of those here in Europe who have shown so much compassion and solidarity with my native land during this last terrible week. All of the candles, the flowers, the church services and the moments of respectful silence have certainly reassured me that there is goodness left in the world. To those of you back at home in the U.S.A., please try to take some comfort from the huge outpouring of support we have received from our friends across the sea. Peace and God's blessings to everyone. Kimberly

In Belgium, according to a dispatch of the Belga agency, the electric consumption to decreased of 2/3 during 6 minutes. More of trains, tramways.... all was stopped.. It is well... 800.000.000 of Europeans at the same time,...we will never forget, ...never

London too came to a complete standstill, not even the rustle of a paper turning. It was very moving, and all nationalities as London is a very cosmopolitan community. This sort of reaction surely transcends that which caused it to happen. Now can we build on this unity to stamp out international terrorism, without having to resort to legitimised terrorism to do it.

The greatest part of wisdom is learning to develop  the ineffable genius of extracting the "neither here nor there" out of any situation...."

As an American I also add my thanks for standing with us. I find it ironic that we in America have been buisily throwing God out of all our institutions but now when we need Him we expect Him to listen. Also, I hear that about 10% of the dead were from the UK. Aparently doing work at the stock exchange. I heard QEII say that our enemies were her enemies. Also the German Chancelor said much the same thing. I think it boils down to one thing those who are not for us are against us. Arab states must decide to be rid of these vermin once for all or be held accountable as a government and people for their actions or lack of action.

They are enemies of any righteous people. They want to force their believes on us with cowardly acts of violence. But this time its a bridge too far. Yesterday I heard that Amnesty International pleaded that the terrorists should be brought to court to be judged. I think they are already judged by themselves. They aren't worthy to breath the same air we do.
