fiddleman ( ) posted Mon, 21 January 2013 at 6:15 AM · edited Fri, 16 August 2024 at 7:17 AM

Hi there..
I tried to install Mihrelle Riley into Poser Pro 2012 and I copied the folders to the right place but I dont see her.

How can I fix it?
Thank you all.

You don't copy folders to install Renderosity products.  The download is a zip file, and you extract it to the runtime where you want to install the product.  If you do this right, you should find Riley in the Pose section of your library.  If Poser is already open when you install a product, you may have to refresh the Pose section of the library before you see it.

Thank you. But how can I install the zip file?

I assume you own DAZ's Victoria 4 and have her installed.  Riley should be installed into the same runtime as Victoria 4.

The way Renderosity products are set up, you open up the zip file, and you should see a folder called runtime.  Extract this to the folder that contains the Victoria 4 runtime, and all the files should go into the right places.

Alternately, in Poser Pro 2012, go to the Content tab.

It's the last tab after Pose, Material, Cloth, Hair, Setup tabs, along near the top of the Poser app window.

Click the "Install from zip" button. Browse to your downloaded zip file.

Anything from the Renderosity marketplace should install fine using this built-in zip install wizard.

Online Now!

I often install zipped content by opening the archive in Windows Explorer and dragging the runtime folder to the folder containing the runtime I want to install it in; it's a perfectly good way to install content.

The question is, where did you install it to? If you installed it to the main Poser program runtime, you will never find it, as that Runtime is not mapped to the Library.  It needs to be installed to the actual content library, or to an external runtime you have defined.

Also, as randym77 notes, it is a character for V4, so it will show up under Poses...
