Subject: odd coloured rocks in vue 10

iborg64 ( ) posted Fri, 25 January 2013 at 4:44 PM · edited Mon, 02 December 2024 at 11:34 AM

I have some bought vue scenes , including vue live paintings bought from here in which many of the rocks have odd colours eg magenta blue or green in a landscape this just ends up looking like its strewn with litter , any one know whats wrong this happens when I load a scene as bought and just render with no changes other than render quality , usually set to broadcast or superior .

any help would be much appreciated

*(click on image for large view)* In material tab check eco-system materials if there colored quadrangles; left click them to deactivate the colored material preview. This is a feature to easy locate eco system objects in a scene. It should be deactivate for final render. I hope it help you.

*(from this)* Are you sure you left click the box on the right? With right click you only select another color.

no cant find anything like that i feel it must be something like you first suggested as thats how i changed the colours to all pink or all green , its also only on the few scenes that i have bought , quite a few ive bought are ok , and any i have done my self have never had this effect

iborg64 ( ) posted Sat, 26 January 2013 at 8:17 PM

also what does the symbol by red desert mean small box with zigzag line in it?

Mazak ( ) posted Sun, 27 January 2013 at 5:46 AM

This symbol is a 'Mixed material' . You can load alternative material for the rocks in 'EcoSystem Material' tab for example.
Is there a readme for this product? Can you contact the vendor for assistance? Maybe the product is not compatible with your version of Vue!?

stamate_filip has excellent reputation and will be fixed fast your problem. Maybe there is a delay because of weekend.

Can you show us the material settings you do have, just as Mazak has done in the link, perhaps that can give some clues?

I'm fairly new to Vue, so I may not be of much help, but perhaps by showing the mats someone can see what's going on.

oops file size too big try again

aeilkema ( ) posted Tue, 29 January 2013 at 1:39 AM

May be silly. but what happens when you apply a different material? (Perhaps save the original one first and then apply a different one). I'm assuming all will be fine then. What happens if you start a new scene and use these rocks with material, does the same thing happen?
