Subject: Free modern chair models

Hi, everyone. I've uploaded two chairs I had created to shareCG.com, and some other places. They are free for all to use, modify, or render in your scenes as desired. No restrictions, except you can't sell them, even if you modify or change them. Maybe to give credit back to me if you do use them. Otherwise, have fun. The zip file contains both models in .obj format, as well as a .max scene file (2012 and higher), and a Daz|Studio scene file of the chairs (D|S 4.0 or higher).

I modeled these last year in 3dsmax 2012 as part of a project for my 3D design class. It's not my very best work, but I think they came out well. Check out the README included in the zip file for more info. The max file does not have the modifier stack intact. I collapsed that to prevent any possible issues with scene compatibility, since I did use a free plugin modifier for creation of one of the chairs.

You can download the ZIP file from shareCG.com here:
Contemporary Modern Chairs

I will be uploading these to other sites as well, including the FreeStuff here on Renderosity, in case you don't like ShareCG for some reason.  However, I don't know how long it takes for Rosity to approve their freestuff.

Enjoy, and feel free to contact me if you have any issues.

Things like this should be posted in the "FreeStuff" forum.

Yeah, well I included a Daz scene file of these objects in the zip, which is why I posted here.  Unfortunately, the .daz file format either became corrupted, or something went wrong when saving, since I had reports people couldn't open it in Daz|Studio. The OBJ file formats are included also, however, and those should import fine into D|S 4 or higher, using the Poser import scale presets.  If this thread is a problem in this forum, then I ask the mods to please delete it.  I don't believe I can do it manually myself.

Personally posting here is fine with me and I am sure with most of the others. I don't go to the free stuff very often, this is a nice reminder that there is a free stuff place to go to.
