Quote - > Quote - Too bad. I don't have morphing clothes, so I have to use Tyler.
Every Poser and Daz Studio user should get a copy of Morphing Clothes. It is the best $22 dollars I have spent on Poser (other than Poser itself).
It does look good.
But it's a Windows app isn't it? i.e. it's not a platform independent Python-based plugin and there isn't a separate OS X version... or is the product description just a bit misleading there?
I run it under WINE - no problems.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned..
Bring Tyler into poser and use the Joint Editor and use the Zero Rotations button.
Resave him with the Zero'ed Rotations (remember to use a new name!). Then export the zero'ed obj out of Poser.
Model on the zero'ed Tyler geometry
When you move your clothing into poser use your Resaved zero'ed version for the base to tranfer the rigging
Gabe used his own "Default" poser, anastasia and shae have this same situation, however this is just a save POSE, the default pose made from using the zero button in the Joint Edito is the actual default. when you go to tranfer the rigging it trans fers with the zero default values. If your clothing is built for the "Blackhearted default" pose it won;t trans fer correctly.
If you continue to have problems send me a site mail, I can give you my email address and we can either work on it that way or via Skype if you use it, to try and work out the issues.

would the developer rig also transfer the weightmaps? or just the bones?

Doing it using thesteps I wrote should transfer the weight maps as well. Basically all you're doing is restoring the default pose and saving it. However, you may need to make adjustments to the weight maps. Since the topology of the clothing isn't an exact match for the figue the transfer is really only an approximation.

Thanks for the suggestion Letterworks. I'll give it a try.
Anyway, working on a suit for Tyler. Needless to say, I have a few... refinements to make.
Are you using a saved copy of the fully zeroed Tyler as your rig donor, for the clothes, in the setup room?
Anyway, a wild guess... just trying to figure this stuff out myself at the moment.
The suit looks good though so far :)
Also, does Tyler look a bit Andy Warhol with that hair. Or is that just me...? ;)
He's well dressed.
as spiffy as NaySayGuy?

Quote - Okay, so I went back and zeroed Tyler and... well pretty much the same thing happened. So then I realized that I need to remove IK. So I did. Better, but still not perfect. However. I can conform the clothes now, but to do so, I have to conform them to Tyler then Zero them in order for them to fit right. Which makes me think I'm still not doing something right.

One thing to remember is that weightmaps are far more picky in how they transfer than zone rigging. I have never had weightmaps transfer that do not require significant adjusting in the 'problem' areas (shoulders and thighs). It also seems that the higher resolution your mesh is, the more adjusting you need to do on the maps. My advice is to go into expecting to have to significantly edit the weightmaps count it as a bonus if you get away with only moderate tweaking.
Blame Paganeagle. It's his readme template.
Did a little more work on Tyler's suit. I'm still having some conforming issues and some pokethrough issues.
Speaking of Anastasia. Did this over the weekend. Tried to upload it, but I think the file was too big.
I call it "Schoolgirl Anastasia". Everything's conforming but the skirt.
It may be in the template, but you can use a word processor to change it.
All the best.

The file was to big for Rendo to accept. So I had to go back and fix it. That's actually an issue I haven't had before because I've been using the Miki 4 Dev rig mostly, or I've only had one or two clothing items per character. In this case there were four and the file size was twice as big as the limit. I had to go back and do some hacking to get the file size down.
Any way Schoolgirl Anastasia is uploaded and awaiting approval. Tyler's still giving me fits.

... but for the life of me I can't get the rigging right. If I use the zeroed Tyler cr2, to model it won't conform right and if I used the default Tyler Pose to model, it STILL won't confrom right.
How about somebody giving us a Tyler Dev rig to use?
