I know I've read or seen somewhere about how to correct the facets on this. Think maybe something Mark Bremmer said in one of his training videos, but I am unable to locate.

Anyone have suggestions on how to smooth out the facets in this ring? I've smooted the geometry but no luck.

Likely it is something simple that I am just missing.

Thanks for any help.

You need to select all polygons, and menu:

Model / Smooth Edges

Use the all option and hit OK. I think that you see all those polygons in yellow, this means that they have creased edges and even you using ths smotth option from painel, it wont smooth. After use this option in the menu it will turn to red (whem setected).

Thanks I'll give this a try. I appreciate it!

There are a few things here.

1.)  If this is a spline object, you need to increase the surface fidelity.

2.)  If this is vertex object, you can first select all vertices and smooth all vertices as GKDantas has suggested as a first try.

3.)  If step 2 doesn't work, you can select any part of the mesh in the vertex modeler to bring up the vertex smoothing option.  Then select the level you want to smooth things out.  One hitch though is that if you do this it will change the shape of the object so this might not be what you're up for.

I thank you for the suggestions! I'm sure these will help!
