Subject: Looking for a model... Mayberry...

I looking for a model tha I can use with or adapt to DS4.5.  I need the Main Street of a small American Town ala Mayberry from the old TV series The Andy Griffith Show.  I've looked at all the major 3D model sites, but it's possible that I missed something that I can use.  If anybody can point me in the right direction, I will be very grateful.

Thanks in advance!

Have you checked sharecg.com or the marketplace here?  What about Content Paradise?

In the event you do not find it, there is actually a "40 Acres" set at 3D Warehouse, you'd have to have a little experience with SketchUp to check it for flaws and reversed normals and convert it to Collada for export to DS... It's actually quite easy, but most people don't want to bother... you'll also have to tweak the textures in DS too...

The set appears to be most of the main street section of the RKO/DesiLu "Mayberry" set.

I just downloaded and checked out the "Courthouse and shops" model... it appears to be simple,  but well made with only a few reversed normals (on the barber pole and the awning)... other than that, I think it could make a decent back ground model... as long as you don't need your characters to enter the building... it's just a false front structure... probably like the real thing.

You can find it here:

Good luck
