A quick note to those making new characters. Please put a Dev rig with your creation if you want people to make things for them.

I have got Imploo, no Dev rig, so I have made one myself.

You can find it in my portfollio at ShareCG, or wait a little while and get it here at Rendo Free Stuff once it has been approved.

It didn't take me long to do, but an official one would have been nicer.

I think paganeagle2001 makes a good point. Including a dev rig, or a link to an official dev rig, is a very good idea.

The dev rig is coming, we are putting together a little dev pack including the rig, a base clothing mesh, textures and some videos of course :)

Is anyone having problems transferring the rig to clothing items? I created my own dev rig and when I go into the setup room in Poser Pro 2012 it does not ask about groups and the rig does not transfer when double clicking the thumbnail. I then downloaded Pagan's Dev Rig and same thing happens.

Hi Jan, I don't know why there should be any probs:-

Did all the zero rotations, took, out morphs, etc. as I do for my other dev rigs.

I'll do a little exploring and see what is happening.

For some reason Imploo crashes my Poser when I try to take her into the Setup room.

I can take her in when she is in the Pose room, but if I load in an obj and use her as a doner rig, the crash happens.

So, I have taken my Rig out of use and will wait for the Dev rig set to appear.

I had forgotten to remove the weight maps too. Once they are removed things seem to work as expected. Thank you so much! :)

As well as taking out the weight maps I took out the bit at the end (in PFE) which says:

visemeMapFile "F:**************************VisemeMap.xml"

I also took out the IK chains.

I'm not sure if this will make a difference or not.

I'm still testing my dev rig but it seems to be working at the moment. If everything is okay with it I can send it to you to look at.

Well done for solving the prob.

For some reason I thought I had the WM out, but double checking, it was still there. As soon as I took that out of my version it loaded fine.

Jan's version is a lot smaller than my version, so I watch out for it appearing.

Now back on my soap box!!!!!!

It's NOT supposed to be up to users to do dev rigs for charactrer makers, it's YOURS!!!!

If you want people to support your figures, then remember to finish the job with the dev rig.

I don't want to interfere with what the various vendors already have planned so I need to get permission to release the dev rig I have created. If I get it I'll release it for anyone who wants it.

Just a reminder: when you come out of the setup room go to Figure-> Copy Joint Zones From and choose Imploo.

Something I created using the rig. There are no textures yet but if anyone would like to test it let me know and I can finish it off and bundle it up for a freebie.

Sometimes Poser 2012 will add a wierd and apparently useless WM at the very end of the CR2 that will crash Poser if you try to use it as a donor rig.

Imploo is an amazing character. She makes me smile. :)

I'm thinking maybe I took too much out of the dev rig but it does seem to work with the Copy Joint Zones From so I'm not sure. This is the first time I've created a weight mapped dev rig for anyone else and I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to distribute in a dev rig.

Not every one need videos and the texture resource i bought days before.

I have a question. On the Imploo page it says Poser 8 and up.

But in Poser 8 she doesnt work on my side.The whole rigging breaks.

My idea was to do the clothes in 8 so that they are compatible.

So i guess she is for Poser 9 and 2012 only ?

Imploo is not working in Poser 8 here . That was what i only want to know.

Yep..that should be changed on the promopages.Then its clearer that this is a WM figure.

Its a big different if you will do developement for a figure.

However..only a hint..i enjoy her..she is really nice.
