Subject: Is there a way to set up a Material to load on its intended zones automatically?

I created some eye texture maps and loaded them in Poser's Material library. I'd like to simply select my figure, double click the eye Material and load it, but Poser wants me to select each material zone individually. I really don't want to make material inj. files. Is there a way to set up one click functionality for Poser's material system aside from a full texture replacement for the entire figure? Basically, I'm looking to replace the eye textures without taking out the body texture.

save the eye surfaces as a .mc6.

ie, apply the .mt5 to the eyes mat zones, then save back to the library as a.mc6. unticking ALL but the eye surfaces when the pop-up asks you which you want to save, as a material, or a materials collection (.mc6).

once saved back, double clicking on ther thumb will load ONLY the eye surfaces to the figure. the rest of the texture will be unchanged.

yup, a material collection mc6 uses the names of the mat zones where the mt5 uses the current material selected. Be careful to select only the material zones you want to save in the collection.

It's a technique I use a lot when making colour schemes for me Dalek models.  I can save out bits like eye lenses, retina glow, neck mesh, lamp glass and anything else that's common to all models.  After that, I use a simple "Apply to all" command to change body colour, then apply the mc6 for all the other bits and bobs.  I also have several different ones for the hemis so I can mix and match as I go.

A real time saver and sometimes it's worth saving just a single material as a mc6, simply because you know it's going to apply correctly every time.
