www.anim8or.com should do the trick. It's free, it imports lightwave, saves obj's - and remember to write a nice e-mail to the creator of that remarkable app.

it can also be done (& very easily) with the poser pro pack. The lightwave plugin has worked flawlessly for me since day 1. Prior to the ppp I used 3D exploration to convert lwo meshes to a poser useable format. They are now owned by Right hemisphere & you can find all the info about it here... http://www.us.righthemisphere.com/products/3dexplore/index.htm

When i try to import lwo files into poser pro pack or poser as i call it couse it's merged together. I get a error message that says that my plugin is broaken and doesn't work. I dunno why i guess it was broken from day 1 i bought it. What shall i do about this?

I've had that error message (I assume is the 'FFLW.arp' message) only with ome type of model... if, in lightwave, I toggle metanurbs on with the tab key & forget to 'freeze' the polygons before exporting poser will get very cranky & refuse to let me import the model.

How do you mean freeze? And yes thats the errormessage and it's quite bugging me right now... :)

When you have you mesh in the lightwave modeller to find the 'freeze' tool click on 'Tools' then scroll down the menu... (it's the 2nd last tab) or just hit ctrl+D Bear in mind this is how it works in lightwave 5.6, if you have a different version you may have to hunt around a bit :-)

You can also export to OBJ format right from LW Modeler. Then open the new OBJ file in UVMapper and remap it.
