Subject: clothing doesnt conform when figure is posed - poser 2012

dougm1977 ( ) posted Sat, 25 May 2013 at 12:13 PM · edited Fri, 02 August 2024 at 12:01 PM

right its obvoiusly something im doing wrong or not doing but when i add clothes to a figure (V4 in this case) I then hit "conform to" and when i then choose a pose the clothing doesnt seem to want to play nice

particulary noticed on dark rose boots when i hit pose the boots nd feet were no longer together (I had used the morph for dark rose before hand)

it happens wih other stuff any idea what im not doing???

figure menue...turn off IK on the legs of your main figure

sorry my last post was kind of cryptic

in the figure menue is "use Inverse Kinematics". try tuning this off for the legs. see if this helps. if not it might be that you are selecting the wrong figure when you pose. you want to have your main figure selected when you pose then all the conformed clothes will move with it.

It works since I have BRC Dark Rose and used it many times....Agree click on each item separatly and conform to V4.

Go to the body actor of each prop/clothing item and Make sure that these things are checked. Should help.

IIRC, the feet of Dark Rose boots aren't rigged; you need to lock V4's feet and toes...

you could also make them invisible in the Hierarchy editor. you'd have to do the same for the stockings

The Dark Rose outfit pre-dates 2012 by a number of years.  P6 or P7 if IIRC.  The common practice for footwear back then was conforming to the figure and then hiding the feet and toes.
