Hello all and if youre in the States hope your Holiday was a good one; if not hope your weekend is going well.

I was wondering if someone could help me with a posing problem.

Im trying to bend the hips on M4 & V4 to get a specfic pose but cant seem to do it.

I was wondering if someone could give me a little feed back that will help me out with this problem?

Below you see the pose Im after.

Thanks much

Steel

Hi Steel,

You might try doing this ...

  1. Use IK for both legs (after putting the feet where you want them) ...

  2. Then adjust the Hip for the correct position ...

  3. Next, adjust the abdomen to straighten the body as needed.

What the Good Doctor said :)

This is one of the cases where Inverse Kinematics (IK) really is a tool and not a problem (actually it's never aproblem but it can be a cause of confusion if its turned on and people aren't aware of what it does :))

BTW I would pose the feet with IK on. Use the translate dials for the feet.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Look up contrapposto on Google Images. That will give you a good understanding of how to get that pose right.

Like stated above, IK on, use the Z rotate on the hips, then X translate the hips to be slightly over the apparent load bearing leg.

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

there are a number of contraposto poses in my runtime. you might do a search to see if there are any in your runtime for the SM figures or some other.
