Hi

I am a amateur user of poser pro 2010

I recently bought the Butcher Bundle which has dynamic clothes

I can set up the figure M4 and using the cloth room morph the clothes to him.

In order to save time I am trying to save that pose complete with the dynamic clothes.

I tried to save but when I re-loaded the figure it loaded with the right pose but the clothes lost their fitting, see photo attached.

Could anyone provide and information regarding saving dynamic clothes once morphed.

Any other assistance re information appreciated, I have read some dynamic clothes tutorials including the free one here but they do not cover this.

Thanks in advance

for your understanding: a Cloth Sim generates a series of morphs, one per frame on the timeline. A morph is a collection of vertex displacements (without moving the object origin).

Therefor, the result should / can be saved (spawned) as a moprph target (Object Menu). Consult the manuals, tutorials and the I*net on this. This way, you don't have to rerun the sim, when that's not necessary.

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.

visit www.aRtBeeWeb.nl (works) or Missing Manuals (tutorials & reviews) - both need an update though

You have two choices

  1. under menue "spawn morph target" saves the dynamics as a morph, save to libary.

2 export .obj leave every thing blank, then import .obj

hi

Well I decided to do a test using the figures pants only.

Using the cloth room I morphed them ok and using the spawn morph target option on the object menu managed to get a morph added.

See attached pic

The morph name is pant pose 026

However when I closed the file and opened a new

I loaded the pant and found the morph had gone?

My objective is to have these morphs available to enable me to load them into the main scene.

I also tried exporting and importing, which worked but the figure and clothing went blackish

How can I save the morph of the dynamic clothing to load into a new scene

Thanks in advance

Once you have spawned the morph you need to save the prop to the props library.  Then delete and reload the prop with the morph set to 1.   Make sure "use external binary morphs" is NOT checked in your preferences.

From the file menu select export as you always do. In the dialog "Export Range" select "Multi frame export (even if you only want one item exported), then select the frame. For example if you want to export frame 9 enter 9 in both from and to.

If you want to save a pose it is exactly the same procedure except that the dialog is named "Save Frames".
