How do you rotate  a procedural texture in Poser?

bagginsbill has some stripe materials on his website that I believe do that. There might be something in the forums if you search, or ask at the Node cult forum at RDNA.

Thanks for that, Mark. I'll take a look.

Due to the peculiar inconsistency of Poser node input behaviors, there is no single general-purpose way to "rotate" a shader. I can rotate pretty much all the 2D nodes and some of the 3D, but how you go about it is not a single answer.

Are you asking for image_map rotation or more generally things like brick and tile?

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Also, are you asking for arbitrary rotation angle or specifically 90 or 180 degrees? (The Image_Map node can do 90 all by itself)

Are you interested in mere rotation about any axis, or do you have a particular coordinate that is to be the center of the rotation? Etc. etc. etc.

I'm looking to rotate  a material that is not image map based. All I need to do is to rotate all? the nodes 90 degrees (as you wouldwith Image_Map).  For me it seems like a mother of a shader & I am material room challenged.

Like I said, you can't simply "rotate all". You can't even simply rotate each individually - how you do it depends on how it implements its coordinate system.

I could explain coordinate systems in general and then how to do each and every node, but that would take pages and pages. Since you said you're material room challenged, it would probably be way beyond what you want to deal with.

Is this a shader you could show us?

It is way beyond what I want to deal with. I'll just postwork it. Thanks for your input.
