Subject: Cartoon display, a question and ideas please

I've been fooling around with the cartoon display style with which I prefer to do animations in order to test if I like the animation or not. My question is, is it possible to in some way get some color in the eye region (the iris). She (the image) look kind of undead :) Have any of you done any images this way? I like the comic-book feel of it, what about you?

If you're using Victoria, the problem is probably because she has, I guess it's a cornea, in front of the rest of her eye to produce better reflections... in a shaded, or textured views, you can see through it if it's set invisible... I'm not sure if you can do that with cartoon view... I think the actual material is the one set for "eyeballs", see if that's made invisible, if it is then you may have to figure out a way to move it out of the way... or it could just be that the iris and pupil don't have a color set...

Looks like you using a Vitoria. Victoria has Eyeballs that cover the Eyewhites, Irises, and Pupils. Typically the Eyeballs are transparent which allows the rest of the eyes to be seen. However, the cartoon stlye make everything opaque. What you can do is use magents on the eyes to push the front of the eyeball behind the rest of the eye allowing the whites, irises and pupils to be visible in cartoon display. I'm playing with the magnets right now, so if your have too much troble doing this yourself let me know and I'll send you some morphs or magnets. Chris Cox

Savage2001, Just use an "object color" on the iris and pupil in surface material menu and you are good to go. Pinto

don't know if this will work but you could try putting a texture on the eyeball part, and throwing on a transmap for the full renders.

Cin and Chriscox you're right. It's Victoria 2 and I had to set the eyeball to visible *and* use a magnet to "draw" the iris forward to make them appear. Pinto: As soon as I did the magnet adjustments I could apply your advise. Thanks all for your advice. The image above is to show the result. Forgive the angry expression, it seems Walkdesigner likes to mess up Vickys eyebrows whenever I try to make her walk. Someone knows a solution to that one? :)

Mimic used to throw in some unrelated foot settings too. Don't know how to keep that kind of thing from happening, but just go into the animation window after you've set up the walk and delete the bogus head/eyebrow settings, then set expressions.

No the problem isn't related to Mimic. It's just that I think the Walkdesigner (under Poses) is really created for the Poser characters and Victoria and Michael have some problems with using it properly. The normal walking is good on Michael but changes victorias eyebrows.

I can't tell for sure, but are those the Eyebrows or the UpperEyebrows. If they are the UpperEyebrows you could try using the BrowGone morph to hide them and then color the Eyebrows instead. Chris Cox
