Subject: OT for you guys who do your own music.

I know some of you guys do your own music.  Just a heads-up that EZDrummer is on sale at Sweetwater for $30.  I had no need for another drum product, but for thirty bucks, couldn't pass it up.  Wasn't sure where to post this.  My apologies if it belongs in a different forum.

I just bought Jamstix last week, but $30 for for Ezdrummer, is a no brainer....

Off to make a purchase!!!

Thanks!

Nick

I have a Tama Road Star with a double kick. I used to use EXDrummer back in the day, though.

Thanks for the heads up!

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

If you're a drummer you'll probably have a more critical ear than I for drum vst's, rokket.  You might want to listen to some demos first.  But for me they're fine so long as they can go 'boom-piff-paff-crash' ;)

Real drummers sneer at programmed drums, of course. They always have. But a friend and I find EZ Drummer very useful when we want to get the basics of a track down and no drummer is available. Playing to a realistic - sounding pattern, even if it's the same throughout the song, feels more natural and easier than a click track or metronome. Once a real drummer hears the result, he or she will more or less insist on replacing it. Win - win situation. :)

Yea.  I know real drummers sneer at programmed drums.  But I think they're just jealous cuz vst's never show up drunk ;)

Actually, I used it because I didn't have the drums. I used to send the tracks to a drummer and have him play over them.

Now I use it as a scratch track to be replaced later. When you are recording by yourself, I find it easier to keep everything lined up and locked in.
