A few variations on an image, just wondering what I should go with for a final render. These were from the same Bryce file with a Poser figure, re-arranging a few things, and then the top 2 images had Photoshop filters applied. The bottom two are no post-work, just straight renders. I kind of like the top right image for a final. What do you all think? Poser Figure is David Hulbert's "Assassin", minus the hair, and with textures from Virtual Lands. Thanks! --silver

What strikes me about all 4 images is how similar the color/tex of the figures and backgrounds are. Easy to lose the fig in all that grey. I'd vote for color in the background, which would bring the silver/grey figure way into the foreground, and give the image a lot more contrast and depth. Just my .02 worth.

I like the top right best also. If the top left was green it would have a matrix feel to it...

I like the monotony, leave the colors as they are, I say! To compensate, you may want to give the figure a different pose. While the message of the work may call for a neutral-looking character, it certainly doesn't make for an exciting piece of art. I would make the figure's pose more visually exciting. Out of the 4 images, I like the top left the best.

Boy, just goes to show how different images hit people differently! I really like the lower left image - Seems like it's impact would be multiplied if the eyes were natural eyes, looking sharply off to the side and down to draw the viewer out of the frame into the image's world. Just my 2 cents, worth :-))

Cool, thanks for your comments! It's great to get someone else's opinion when I'm done and out of ideas for an image. I'll play around with some of these suggestions and see what I come up with! --silver
