Are you trying to apply V6 mats to Genesis? If you are your going to have issues as the Genesis figure doesnt have V6 UV's

Copy figure copies morphs and poses, it doesn't copy materials. There's an option to copy materials in the Surfaces pane option menu - right-click the tab, or click the button with lines in the top corner. Note, however, that copying a surface copies only the settings - if the surface you paste to uses a different shader that won't be changed.
