Subject: Help downloading upgrade for Poser 9

Jacobus01 ( ) posted Sat, 28 December 2013 at 9:49 AM · edited Sat, 08 February 2025 at 5:40 PM

I'm having trouble downloading the Poser 9 upgrade.

I have it added to my cart using my serial number.

The problem is that I can't fill in a credit card number, I don't have a credit card.
I can't  continue to download the file.

I was able to download previous updates, but simply can't remember how I did it.

Tnx.

You shouldn't need a credit card, as the Poser 9 update is free.  Did you use this link?

Yes indeed, next I click the read Win32 'button' and I come to the content paradise page, with the update in my cart, but not able to download it.

Did you log into CP and proceed to checkout?

Also upgrade and update are not interchangeable terms.  Entirely different meanings which can lead to confusion.

Yes, I am logged in, goto checkout, then I'm asked to fill in my name and adress, and also postal code, which must be the same as in the code for the credit card.

Otherwise, I can't continue and download the file.

That's weird; Poser 10 and higher go to a Poser.smithmicro.com page, not CP.  I'd file a support ticket...

I downloaded the updates for PoserPro 2012 SR 3.2 last evening and the SM link is directed to CP.  I own the hard disc copies for both PP2012 and PP2014 and was challenged in the same way.  Both purchases were not through SM or CP but Amazon.  I simply checked for correct information and clicked on continue at the bottom of the page.  Once the order confirmation page appears, click on the download link.  Had no issues downloading afterwards.

Still haven't found a way to download the update.

I Guess the only thing left to do is uninstall poser and forget that I payed money for it.

The same thing happened to me. Try filling in your address and details in the 'my account' area and saving it, rather than filling it in when checkout asks for it. That's the only way I could get past that point.

It doens't help.... no creditcard, no download, even it's a free one.

I'll try that ticket filing thing later this week...
