Is there a way to generate a UV map/template from hair room materials? I am creating eyebrows and want more control over placement of hair growth than is provided simply by following the lines of the group.

Nevermind. In this case, I had grown the hair right on the scalp, and it turns out I can use the face texture mapping.

you mean this: http://www.book.artbeeweb.nl/?p=452 ? It uses the head map indeed.

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.

visit www.aRtBeeWeb.nl (works) or Missing Manuals (tutorials & reviews) - both need an update though

Thanks. Do you find that transparency doesn't work in Preview? it's not for me, although when I render it does indeed work. I think that used to work, although I haven't compared to other stuff that uses transparency... I do know that something really went wonky after the Win8.1 update.

It may have to do with the settings/capacity of your video card. I have a very low-grade system and I see transparancy sometimes represented in preview and sometimes not. Some apps mess with the settings, and I have the impression the video adaptor sometimes makes is own choices on priorities.
