I was very glad to see the eye fix. It was the one thing that I really wanted to see fixed.

Yep! that was the reason I did not use Dawn at all. could not get the eyes to look real at all with the way they were modeled and maped.

I just downloaded and installed SR1. Opened Zip and did a copy/replace old files . Still same problem with Dawn's eyes unless I did something wrong when installing the new files.

could not see any UV morph fix pose file in Hivewire3d/Dawn/morphs. Not sure how this morph is implemented.

Did you just redownload the files? If you did they aren't the updated ones. You have to add DawnSR1 to your cart in the store and checkout to get the new files.

Yes I added SR1 to my cart and downloaded that.

I am having better results with figure skinning set to Poser Unimesh and setting her subdivision level set to 1 for rendering. but otherwise looks like no change at all with SR1.

I may be wrong.. I've been too busy to get the SR downloaded and installed.  But I dont think the eye fix loads by default, it needs to be dialed in.  The reason being that using non-fixed textures with the fixed eye can look pretty bad.  The actual Dial for it may have OOT in the name.. not sure, perhaps someone who has the release version of the SR installed can point to the exact location and name

or read the readme... I havent had the time to do that either :P

I could have missed something but I checked both for a morph injection and found none in the pose folder. I then loaded the starter morphs and base morphs. no dials from either of these on the L or R eyeballs.

The eye fix is part of the DawnBase morphs. It is then a dial under body (rather than head) set at 0.

Here's where it appears for me on the parameters palette.

Here's what the SR1 readme says about it:

2-The UV morph fix has been turned OFF by default, in order to not have it adversely affect current Dawn textures that were not created using it.  You can turn this morph on by going to the Parameters tab in Poser or DAZ Studio, selecting Dawn's body and dialing OOT-MorphsDawnIrisSmooth to 100% or anywhere in between 0 (default) and 100% as desired.

Note that this morph will appear in DAZ Studio when the files are installed, and in Poser when you apply the Base Morph INJ.

I have trouble logging into the Hivewire Forums, despite resetting passwords blah blah. So am going to ask here instead.

Which of the original Dawn conforming clothing and character textures can I use with Dawn SR1 ?

As far as I'm aware you should be able to use all of the original clothing etc.

I don't use Poser much if at all really so I don't know if the Poser version of SR1 is different but in DS I haven't had trouble with anything.

All the Hivewire stuff does work I know.

As to problems with logging into Hivewire, try contacting Alisa over there if you can't I can direct her here for you and she'll sort out your problems.

I have have not had any problems using any of the things I purchased. All character textures are working the same.
