Subject: Newsletter woes - Not getting it - again and again

I have stopped getting newsletters. The last I got on February 1st. This keeps happening. I checked by profice and subscribe to newsletter is checked as it has since I joined many years ago.

I may have missed a coupon offer along the way, how am I to know?

I am getting everything mailed from Renderosity except the newsletter, so there is NOTHING wrong with my email.

So will someone please restore my newsletter delivery and crate a trouble ticket to figure out why this keeps happening.

While I am mentining problems, I get the Renderosit Daily Digest, but it cotains no information. All it says is:

@message@

Not a big deal, but it used to  work.

We have had several people report this issue and my Programmers promise me they are working on it.

FYI. As of today, 22 Feb, I am still not getting newsletters. I am getting the gallery notices, purchase records, newsletters from RDNA and DAZ (ahem) but no Renderodity newsletter.

Hi,

I looked up the logs and it shows we keep getting bounces from your email when trying to send. After so many bounces, the system opts this email address out since it keeps bouncing. I've opted you back in so the next thing that goes out it will try again.   You might check with your email provider as well as making sure Rendo emails are added to your contact list. 

 

Let us know if you continue after this not getting emails from us.  But I did want to let you know we've been trying to send but it's bouncing back.

It is strange that I am getting emails with no problems from everyone else including other types of messages from Renderosity. For example when I make a purchase in the marketplace, I get the confirmation email in less than a minute, just like I did this evening, which you should be able to confirm in your log records.

Once again, I have never failed to get regular emails from RDNA and DAZ. Or purchase confirmations, gallery alerts and forum alerts from Renderosity. So logically the problem would have to be in how Rendo is sending the newsletter.

FYI, ix.netcom.com is a legacy email address managed by Earthlink and my service providerr is Verizon FIOS.

I just tweeked something can you let me know if you see any change in the next couple of days? 

We will figure this out.

There has to be a reason this is happening to your account and not more.

The newsletter is back on again. Thanks.

I have an old legacy email address manged by Earthlink but my ISP is Verizon. When I got the Verizon service they did not support email on the Macintosh, which is why I didn't get a Verizon email account. Which most fios users have. This compllex set up seems to lead to occasional email interruptions from a minute or so to a couple of hours.

I think your newsletter mailer is just too quick to suspend service when a newsletter doesn't go through right away. Just like you say you don't have the problem with other members, I don't have the problem getting newsletters from RDNA, DAZ, Hivewire, etc.

Since I dont think you are going to change your mailing system on my account, why can't we have a streamlined way to get it turned on again the next time this happens without goinng round and round on what made it happen, since I doubt that anyone wants to take the time to figure it out. (It seems to happen about once or twice a year starting a couple of years ago. I have been a member since 2006.)
