Subject: Texturing software that can handle right angles & or broke maps well ?

I'm looking for a texturing software that can handle right angles & or broke maps well.

What all texturing software that has polypaint brush can bend around a 90 degree angle so you don't get striking ?

What all texturing software can magically paint across the map where it is not connected so you don't get seems ? so when you paint on the unconnected edge it paints in 2 spots of the map where the edge is in 2 places at the same time.

Anyone here know if  Quixel can do this ?

Can a Poser mesh have multiple maps on it ?

So if you where texturing these meshes seamlessly. What software would you use ? How long would it take ?

I'd use Photoshop.. And how long depends on how detailed I want to make it.  Could be overlaying a texture image I got online (a minute or so & not very good) or making my own, adding grunge, rust etc.. Takes longer but looks better.  Time would probably depend on how experienced you are at texturing.

Gimp would probably do the job if you don't have PS.

Don't you own zbrush?

Polypainting, spotlight, projection master, all 3 methods would work. no need to worry about seams in zbrush.

Otherwise there's photoshop. CS3+ extended allows you to paint on the model directly, though I don't have much experience using it since i use zb for my texturing.

My jobs modeling ,I know how to model.
Texturing ,ah I have a clue that's about it.
But I can't get the texturing crew to texture my personal meshes for DAZ Poser.

Polypainting & Spotlight both striks across sharp 70 to 90 degree angles.
If you mask takes time & then you have seems.Spotlights worse.
If you try to get grunge n rust around the edges it just looks bad.
haven't tryed projection master .but I'll go look.

The single map stretching and making the seems match is just so slow and out dated.
There has to be a better way.

I could make mutiple maps but that would take time and I don't even know if Poser can use mutiple maps.
maybe I could burn them togeather.

But I'm trying to find the fastest way to texture.
All the ways I know take a long time.

I would have thought in 2014 there would be better faster ways .
I just half to find them.

So far Quixel looks promissing.I'm sure there's a lot of softwares n plugs out there.
just takes researching them.

So that's my curent quest ,researching the fastest best texturing 2014 methods.

Hmm. Not sure what your process is, but I don't get seams when I texture anything in ZB unless I want seams. 

You can hide portions of the model as needed, or turn it on an angle so you don't get that streaking. Avoid painting or spotlighting too close to the edge in one pass and make sure you don't have double sided turned on or the color might pass through to oposite geometry in places if you aren't careful. You can also soften and sharpen the mask to blend seams. It all takes practice and patience. Texturing is slow if you want it to come out right. 

There used to be a program called Deep Paint, but it was expensive, and I'm not sure its even still available. 

You could also try this: http://www.allegorithmic.com/products/substance-painter that Snarlygribbly linked to the other day. It has a free demo, maybe it will work better for you. I haven't tried it so no clue how it compares to zb.
