interesting effect

Very interesting effect, makes me think about her. I like it! I share with you a thought your experiment brought. This would make a great teaching picture for AA. (Hope I got it right, I don't mean the car thing, I get them mixed up sometimes) Just add some dark fog of confusion and cravings surrounding her and the picture maybe. Pictures teach sometimes better than words about diseases such as alcoholism. How did you do that with turning the page? In Bryce? I know a plug in will do it in graphics program. But how did you do that in Bryce? Would like to know if you don't mind sharing how. smiles

Actually it's a combination of Bryce/ Poser/ and the "Page curl" was done in Photoshop.I did the glass from a tutorial in Bryce The Lady was done in Poser(of corse) and The page curl was done in Photoshop ...I separated the arm and made it a separate layer the staked the sequence from there. arm is top layer pictuere of glass is the second layer. and the woman was the third layer..the bottle was an after thought as you might guess from the lack of shadow.( the pic was unbalenced ) Thank you for the reply. :)~ see more here~~~>http://www.geocities.com/hawkfyr/index.html?938242342470

Thank you was great idea you had. smiles And I thought I was the only one that was starting to layer things. Works out much better for me that way.

Thanx LilWolf...Yeah , The beauty of layering is that you can always go back and tweak it some more. for instance ,dropping the woman and arm layers down so the top of her head isnt cut off. nonproblematic. I'm just starting to scratch the surface of uncovering the Power of Photoshop, the tutorials on the CD were very helpfull, and some on the net also. another cool thing is most plugins for photoshop will work in Bryce as well, I just create a dirctory ( I call mine "Master Plugins Folder") and put"ALL" filters and plug ins in there.and in Bryce , just point to it and "Vavoom" a 2 mile long list of filters ( I do the same In Photoshop Too,Keep in mind to copy filters into this directory,You might not want them all the time." It takes longer for the application to load all thoes filters) Note: that page curl filter works great on a terrain or symetrical lattice as an ocean wave. :)~ ( This was not intended to drift from the topice of Bryce)

I'm sorry LilWolf I didnt address the "AA" (And that is correct smiles) idea you had. I Myself have struggled with Alcohlism(There goes My anonimity)Recovery and this particular pic has deep meaning for me.Although I'm a male, I used the woman to suggest that Alcoholism isn't Gender specific.(and the poser male is dorky also :)~ I do know that AA is an organization based on attraction rather than promotion. so if I sold it to them,I (personally)would be in violation of traditions. I very well may polish it up a bit and send it the NewYork office. and let them do whatever they want with it.anybody may do with this image as they wish, if it reaches someone, and helps them,I cant put a price on that. Thanx again Hawkfyr

Hmmmm Hawkfyr seems sometimes my words are eaten up. I did reply to you the other day. But now don't see that here. That is great idea and wonderful gift of sharing to offer to the AA. I have something I did for Lupus month that came very good. I think I will offer it to the Foundation for their use if they want. Thank you for suggestion. Only address what you are personally comfortable addressing. Diseases of all kinds have struggles and sometimes they are hard to deal with! But we all deal with something, and sometimes it is a struggle, but as a species I think we do pretty good when we do the best we can each day! smiles

Thanx LilWolff I agree, I am not ashamed of my disease,(shame only helps feed the denial)nor do I spend time trying to figure out HOW and Why I have it,fact is...I have it, wondering why will keep me from recovering because I may never figger it out, that would be like saying "Im not gunna jump from this sinking ship until I know Why it's sinking". I just do what I can day to day and Bryce really helps too.

Bravo my friend! Somethings just never can be figured out, and you'd go crazy trying! You just "deal with it" the best you can. Is good solution. Jumping from sinking ship would make a great picture. I get a real good visual with lots of exploding things all around. I even think there is a ship in fun stuff if I remember right. Could never understand why they said a captain had to go down with his ship? Seem'd most silly to me. Perhaps sometime, if you like idea, you will try making. Me, I am working on snow. smiles

Hawkfyr ( ) posted Fri, 26 November 1999 at 9:20 AM

I very well may try that next.I have taken my first stap at a sci fi image, when it's done I'll play with the ship Idea, I have a pretty good explosin I could use.http://www.geocities.com/hawkfyr/explosion.html

That is a great explosion, thank you for sharing. Maybe if I cant get this snow to start behaving , I will just blow it up and make a snow storm! *smiles *
