Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 1:20 pm)
Hi, thanks. I've started doing that but I've reached a point where I don't know what the morph is that's playing me up (partly due to the stupid morph naming in this thing, plain english would be nice...). What I've done so far has done some good, but her right hip is still pushing out sideways, through the clothing and her glutes are still too big. I'm not sure how to find out which morphs are affecting a certain area. Still no word from Erogenesis either.

In the body actor under Master Control you can turn off the arm or leg corrections or the whole system. Page 25 of the manual...

"Oh - the manual says that? I have never read the manual - this must be why."Y'know, I don't even know where the manual is any more, lol! The thing is, I know about the master controls, but they don't make the changes I want. I had difficulties installing the system and I've a feeling it has been broken the whole time. I think, bearing in mind the guy is terrible at getting back to his customers, I'm just going to request a refund. Maybe I'll even have a go at making my own, anything but this bloody mess. It's honestly horribly planned, such a minefield of dials and surplus morphs.

I have had no problems at all in getting it working. Install went smoothly and it worked as advertized.
For fitting cloting I can now just copy the relevant lalibit morphs into the clothing. If there is still some pokethrough in the more extreme morphs, one stroke with the morphbrush is usually enough
I did do the delete morph exercise with the joint/bend correction morphs because they were interfering with the V4 weightmap version I was using. So I know it works
He's been sick with malaria the last couple of weeks, but is better now, accordong to his blog. Do you have the latest version? Mine is 1.03, plus there is a small cross-talk patch...

I'm guessing you aren't faced with a window of huge proportions... I've just gauged it as roughly a thousand morphs in one window, with a fiddly little scroll bar and no ability to scroll with the arrow keys or skip a page at a time? Also, if you know exactly what each and every morph does by only looking at its name, please enlighten me, because, as I said, some of them are abbreviated so badly that it's like some kind of code!
As for telling me you know it works, I assume that simply because something works for you, it MUST work for EVERYONE ELSE ON THE PLANET! To be honest, I'm sick and tired of the attitudes of some on these forums who seem to think that, for one, having used LB for an absolute age and two, having used Poser as a primary rendering program since the 4th version, I don't know that there are specific removal dials right there under my nose WHICH AREN'T WORKING PROPERLY FOR ME!!! If they are working properly for me, they're poorly implemented because, for an absolute start, 'remove leg morphs' only removes the morphs from the knees, not from the outside hips.
I went through it with Erogenesis via email, he sent me a .cr2 to use because the injection wasn't working properly (and still isn't) and before you go off trying to tell me that I am doing something wrong, take a look around the internet and see how many people are complaining about LB!
I wasn't aware of any upgrades or anything, WandW, where would I get this from? One would have thought that someone who has bought and paid for a product (good money too, all things considered) and is known to the vendor, would have been notified of patches, fixes or upgrades of some kind, but apparently I'm just asking too much from communities and vendors these days. To think I've been considering releasing items to the marketplace here but have refrained because there's been a poly out of place or something, hah!
I'm getting sick of the problems and sick of being trated like an idiot, to be honest! Perhaps, if I'm to use any kinds of morphs at all, I must learn dynamic clothing properly, which has always messed my head up, but oh well, time to fork out yet more damned money on tutorials I guess.

Cool off a bit; insulting those who are trying to help is not productive. Wim is very knowledgeable but not a native English speaker.
If you don't have Ver 1.03, send a note to EG with your order info. The other update is to prevent cross-talking of the morphs with multiple V4's; get it from him too....

"Oh - the manual says that? I have never read the manual - this must be why."I'm having problems with the hip morph. Any "open" dial creates this jagged edge on LB where it connects the anus, and 2 holes open up beside the jagged edges. I just bought it, so it's the latest release. Seems do not line up once the Open Morphs are used. Anyone else have this problem. I too am waiting to here from creator, but any help here would be greatly appreciated. Attached is a pic. Just that area, so don't be offended.
Your pic hasn't shown up, but if you do add one, be sure to put a content advisory on it so folks know before coming into the thread please.
I'm familiar with the open morphs and did notice that the morphs for the prop and the figure hip don't tend to match each other very well. I don't tend to use the open morphs though, as I mainly do artistic nudes, which is why I'm not that bothered about having tons of wacky morphs.
I'm wondering what it would take to create my own prop and have it fit V4 properly. I could export just her hip and edit it in a 3D program, then import it, but I'd want it tp perfectly replace the hip, which means I'd need to mess about with rigging, doesn't it?

Have you tried 'choose file' right at the bottom, as opposed to just attaching an image via the reply box? If all else fails, try PM'ing it to me and I'll post it if you like. :)

This might seem redundant but have you made sure that the 'sexy chick preset' is at zero? On the body.
I'm by no means an expert on this but I have been involved in genital creation for V4 since she was released. Having spent months myself on trying to deal with her lacking poly count in that area and trying to create something that would have some semblance of a real female genital I can tell you without question that what was done with LaliBits is an amazing feat.
I will also add that it does work fine for me, as well as a person I have spent the last 3 months training who has absolutely zero prior poser experience.
You can search your computer for Lalibits and it should locate the manual for you.
Some history - the creator of this genital is a comic creator. Was not a regular vendor prior to this. He created Lalibits for his own use in his comic and because there were so many of us that saw it for what it was (ie head and shoulders above anything else available on the market for V4) He kindly set out to create something that the public could make use of as well.
Of course it is a product, and one that is paid for, so I would never say that one should not voice their opinions. But to talk about it as well as the creator in such a disparaging way when you plainly say yourself that you're not even looking at the model is off putting.
I have never had any issue with him getting back to me. It usually isn't within 5 minutes, most likely because he lives across the world from me and even content creators need sleep. There are some issues with it, the creator himself readily admits that.
If you've been using it for ages, it may be a little late to ask for a refund. Though since I know him to be a really decent and reasonable guy, I'm sure he'd give it to you anyway.
Please sitemail me when your amazing genitals for V4 are released. I'm a bit of a collector in that area so I will most certainly be in line for purchase.

I have looked through the manual, I just don't have it on my hard drive anymore due to having to change computers more than a dozen times as I keep naevely buying 'top end' systems from 'decent' manufacturers, only to find out they're not built properly or can't even handle raytracing in Poser, but that's neither here or there. I've searched for it but it's gone. I used to have a folder on one of my drives for important manuals; I guess it was in there and wherever it is, it's not available to me. That's irrelevant anyway, as I've spoken with the vendor about things and even he's perplexed as to what might be causing the issue. No, it's not any of the presets, I've been through the entire system countless times and I've even deleted individual morphs from the figure. I think I may just stick to Rajdarj's prop, as I feel that works much better for what I need. Perhaps, if I get Hexagon, I will make my own prop, but right now, with an enormous (and I mean enormous) animation project in the making (which has been in the making for over four years already, as I'm making an entire racing circuit, all the buildings, all the furnishings, everything from the terrain to the teaspoon in the catering van), I have little desire to make something I already have, but I will let you know if and when I make one. :)
Thanks,
Glen.

I had thought of that, yes; however, it won't help in this particular case, as I said, because even HE doesn't know what's happening, and he wrote the manual.
I think, bearing in mind I'm in contact with the guy now, this topic is pretty much closed. The knowledge of the community has obviously been exhausted on this particular topic and as the vendor himself is perplexed, there's little point continuing the discussion unless he and I reach a resolution.

Hi folks,
I'm having big problems using LB with clothing items and, to be honest, I just want to remove literally every single hint of the system from everywhere except the groin. I just want the genital to be there and the inside of the thighs to work with it correctly, that's it. Erogenesis has included a mind-mashing array of morphs for everything from genitals to knees, breasts to facial expressions; I just don't want all this stuff! Perhaps I could use some of the breast movement morphs, but that's it, and I don't want any of the extreme genital morphs either, it just seems like a waste of space and an unnecessary confusion and clutter.
The main ones I'm having a problem with are the glute and outside hip/waist/thigh morphs, because they just completely screw up the shape and make working with anything but a nude figure a hair-pulling experience.
Whenever I look for a morph with a value, it has a value there at the top of it, but none underneath (I'm doing my best to explain)... A morph dial has two sets of values, one which is for that specific dial and one which (I assume) is for that morph, but which is affected by some other dial somewhere. All the morphs I'm having problems with are zeroed on their dials but showing values from somewhere else, I just want to literally delete these morphs from the figure entirely. How can I do that please?
The other reason I want to do this is because there are so many morphs injected into the figure that when I choose to 'copy morphs from' on a clothing item, I'm faced with a list that's an absolutely laughable size and have to scour through to find the precise morph(s) I want or don't want to include.
I've tried to get in touch with Erogenesis but, judging by his response times last time I had a problem, I won't hear from him for an absolute age and a half, if at all. I really just need to get this sorted now.
Failing all of this, how can I go about exporting the hip with LB, then importing it, making the original hip invisible and getting it to actually work properly with the figure, so it doesn't break apart or go weird?
Thanks,
Glen.
