Here is my new character in progress.  Zera-Beth.  I need some feedback on her.  I know I have to soften the eyebrows.

Suggestions?

AND ... what is it that users want the most out of a character?  eyes? shape?  I'd really like your oppinions on this.

Thanks

Boni

Here are some suggestions, might not be better, My drawing is not very precise :D

It seems that the cheek bones are a bit to exposed and the chin a little bit to large. And might just be the shadow, but also the cheek might be a bit to high.

The nose tip as already mentioned :)

But its really nice i think.

For the most part I think she looks great. The only thing I see that might need tweeking is the septum/skin between the nostrils. With her prominent cheekbones and jaw I think she could easily be Indian with the right textures.

I'm developing 2 models.  One based on Mariet Hartly (Zera-Beth from Star Trek) as seen here.  I want more individualized characters rather than a nutrual "beauty".  The second will be based on Arlene Martel (T'Pring from "Amok Time" in Star Trek, who passed away a couple days ago).  Thier Star Trek rolls are purely coincidental, but it is a point most of you can relate to. ;)

All of your suggestions and observations are wonderful and it seems I'm very far from my goal, but I'm determined.  If you can help me get her there I'd appreciate it. :)

Okay, here is some better lighting to see why some of the morphs seemed off, and were. I have tweeked the nose and some other tweeks as well.

Something I'm seeing is above the eyebrows is a light patch looking like she has a 2nd pair of eyebrows that are almost flesh comlored but not quite,

Hmmm. that was from me "erasing" the brows that was on the original texture.  Looks like I need to work on that.

IMHO, the eyebrows need to come up a bit. Brows are at the top of the orbital ridge of the eye socket.  Looks pretty good aside from that. I noticed the high fashion, noir pictures.  If this is what you are going for, very good start.  I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting tired of stick figure Barbies that all run together.  Personlly, I would love to see a talented artist give us Gina Lolabrigida, Sophia Loren, Holly Golightly, Bacall...the true beauties of fashion,.

Congratulations and good luck.

The nose still needs more work, but it looks like it's coming along well.

I find the eyebrows on 90% of Vicky's to be unnaturally high (same with all the Daz figures)... I do need to bring these up a little but in my observations, not much.  I can't seem to change the orbital ridge as much as I'd like but I'm looking for a comprimise and I agree, I want to see more classic faces.  All of the above, but maybe a few lesser-known like I've started with ... just to get us going.  I won't have that problem with Arlene Martel, as she has high brows.
