Wow that is cool!!! How did you do it? Man I sure would like your help on special fx for my series online. Reply back and tell me if you wanna help. Great stuff just to let you know. Wanna share how you did it?

Sure, I got my trusty cannon dv cam and acted out the movements, i then took a "clean plate" where i wasn't in frame. i took a still frame of the video of me and traced it using the pen tool in Lightwave modeler, then i textured it with the still, i imported the obj to Lightwave layout, then i used a combo of napalm and lw's particle fx to make me shatter/dissolve (or what ever you'd call it) then i rendered that out, took it to commotion pro and composited me moving over the parts of the still model of me that hadn't exploded yet, then i did some cloning, and touch up painting on problem frames to help match the moving video with the exploding still obj, then color corrected the two clips, then i took all that and composited it over the clean plate, did some final touch ups in AE. -Nate Howe
