liked it so much I uninstalled 4.6.  played with it for an hour or so. Like the UI modification ability and the ipr view is a nice feature

It can be installed with out having to uninstall the stable version so why not give it try.

Personally, I'm loving it...definitely worth a try especially since you don't have to do anything to your original Daz studio and Poser installations. It fixed a few bugs for me; you do have enable DIM to accept the beta updates but that is a good thing anyway...

sounds more like it,the promo pic in daz on 4.7beta is looks well

but in my pc to uninstall daz 4.6 is a long hours

because it is very heavy in the content.

No, no, no... don't units 4.6... you can have both on your machine!

And you wouldn't need to uninstall the content even if you did need to uninstall 4.6 to add the public beta.

It seems quicker, but it keeps crashing on render and it doesn't recognize my LuxRender plug-in.  The stock layout for the screen is really confusing to me, but it's a learning curve, right?

I have installed Reality 2.50.1.122 and Luxus 1.0.0.5 into 4.7 Beta with no problems.

Just make sure you point the installer to proper folder level, like

(Your DAZ install folder)/DAZ 3D/DAZStudio4 Public Build/

RHaseltine ( ) posted Tue, 11 November 2014 at 3:11 PM

If this is the first time you've installed a beta then you will need to reinstall any plug-ins and most shaders as they place files in the application folder (which wasn't there, for the beta, when you originally installed them). This isn't something you will need to do every time, once the files are there they will be available to future betas and you will need to reinstall only if there is an update to the plug-in or shader.
