I just spotted this at ShareCG.
I gotta' say your model is considerably more accurate , particularly the shape and size of its limbs, than some some items requiring a purchase!
Thank you for your generosity!
Sincerely,
Bill
Agree 100%. I saw the thumbnail of this in the freestuff, and thought it was a clipart photo at first. The preview renders are just amazing, and the model itself is one of the best I've seen out there, free or paid. If you search for roasted turkey on Turbosquid, the results are typically asking between $3-$45 for models which are clearly NOT on the same level of quality. I'm not knocking anyone's work, as I probably wouldn't be able to model and texture this kind of model any better than the next guy, but the fact a model of this quality is being offered for free excites me, and renews my faith in the 3D community! I'm becoming a big fan of your work, thanks!
very cool thanks. I notice this is one thing just NOT available for Poser artist; DEAD ANIMALS AS FOOD.
I have had the occasion to need dead animals, freshly hunted and either still with original skin which is easier to do but mostly skinned and feathered and ready for roasting on a spit for camp scenes. Resizing at least I now have at least a plucked and prepped bird. Wish I can now find one with legs and head and neck just before putting on spit.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates the holiday. This is a 3D model of a classic roasted turkey; the centerpiece of contemporary Thanksgiving holiday food. It can be used as a standalone prop, or as part of an existing still life, or culinary-themed render. This low-polygon model consists of 2,384 polygons and 4,786 vertices. The topology is 100% quads, and as a low poly object, depends heavily on the included high-resolution texture maps for detail. The model is carefully UV Unwrapped, and comes with all the necessary texture maps for modern PBR (Physically Based Rendering); color (diffuse), specular (reflection), glossy (blurry reflection), and bump channels at 4048x4048 pixel resolution. There is also a special tangent normal map included in the maps folder, for added render detail and realism.
*If your render software supports it, I STRONGLY recommend using the normal map instead of the bump map for optimum detail in your renders.
Available in 3dsmax scene file, and OBJ file formats, for wide range of compatibility. The .max file is compatible with 3dsmax 2012 or higher. The OBJ files come scaled specifically for import into various applications.
You are free to use or modify this model as you see fit, for your own rendering projects or scenes. As with all my freebies, the object can be used for both commercial and non-commercial renders. You may NOT, however, resell or redistribute the model or textures, or any derivative of them; individually, or as part of a package/set.

Alternatively, you can also find and download this model from the following resource locations, including additional renders and wire-frame previews:

*** OBJ IMPORT INSTRUCTIONS: There are 3 different OBJ files associated with this model, and one MTL file, which defines the texture placement. You will notice that two of the three OBJ files are labeled for use in specific software applications (Poser and Blender). For best results, it's highly recommended that you import the correct file to the corresponding software application.
