I don't have that character but it might be done that way one purpose because they probably figured the character would be wearing hair.
I'm not real familiar yet with how SSS is done so I can't give any or other suggestions except possibly contacting the vendor.
Out of curiosity, what type of lights are you using? Is the figure's back side facing the front of the camera? Is the main portions of your lights hitting the back of the figure?
Typically, the back of the head texture map for V4 is part of the torso map; you can easily copy & paste the nodes if the vendor missed a material group.However, it is not uncommon to exclude that area if it is covered by hair. Reduces the amount render time spent in that area if using raytracing and IDL.

I purchased Marro by renapd. The sss texture map for the body gives a different texture for the back of the head than for the face and the rest of the body. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone have a solution? I'm using poser 10 on a pc.
