Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 20 7:20 am)
Yes, it can be done.
Poser files are text files and are easy to edit. If a channel has key values, those values can be controlled by another dial by inserting the proper code lines.
Poser itself has a "Teaching" function that does this, but since I am used to getting at the "guts" of a file directly, I have never bothered to learn the necessary fine points wen going at it this way.
D3D Poser File Editor may have a function to assist, but I have no hands on experience using it to do what you are after.
I find it easier to just hack the controls in using a text editor and the straight Paste function in PFE.
The master dial - I would just generate using an existing master to provide the base structure.
after I put the value of the master dial 1 and all values of the parameters of the 8 values that control the displaces strength of 1 also
then I put the intervals of the parameter "master dial " to 0 and the 8 values of the child dials to 0 (by that I teach that when moving the master dial , modify the associated dials )
stop teaching
Content Advisory! This message contains nudity, profanity
let's test:
master dial = 0.000
let's put some strength to displaces, I put the master Dial in 1.000
FUCK , it seems to she have been in the water for several hours
I put the Master dial in 0.5000
better, not perfect but you already have the idea....
The best tutorial of all time? Yes maybe :)
Hello Aldebaran40,
First of all, excellent creation. I wrote a tutorial of Poser Dependent Parametesr (See the link below). I don't know if it can be useful for you because you understand the basic of dependant parameter Editor. I am not writing Part 2 of the tutorial and I expect to deliver the tutorial in about two months.

As you can see I have dials that control the intensity - in this case - from displaces maps, I would like to have a Master dial to control all .what I want to do is to decrease or increase the Master dial and all those who are within them increase or decrease at the same time when I move the Master dial
It is possible that?
"...One dial to rule them all, One dial to find them,
One dial to bring them all and in the darkness bind them..."
