Subject: Secure purchaces

dml2000 ( ) posted Sat, 21 March 2015 at 11:10 AM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 6:59 PM

I sent an email off to store management and never got a reply in regards to the lack of seeing the secure Padlock icon during store transactions

Having my Amex card recently used in a fraudulent attempt at best buy, I am more wary now of my purchases being secure during all phases of the transaction

I use my Amex at sites I trust and during store transactions I always see the secure padlock symbol up in the web bar, but for some reason not at Renderosity.  I use the most up-to-date internet explorer browser version 11+ and at stores like RDNA, DAZ, and Renderotica the Padlock symbol is always on display during a transaction,  So I have to ask why not here.  Please, lets not go into the try another browser reply as I have said IE11 displays the secure padlock symbol at other places I trust to use my card..  I can use the PAY PAL  option but prefer to use my Amex card for points.

If you look at my purchase history, you will know I do a lot of business here and I was quite miffed that I did not get a reply to my email, so I had no choice but address the problem in the forums..

Could this have something to do with my past purchase via Amex being posted as from Renderosity and not Bondware?

I can provide you with a  screenshot of my webpage during an attempted purchase should you require proof

I have sent you a png screenshot of the Renderosity Transaction page for coupons and Card information

it will clearly display the lack of a secure transactions icon

Did you send to stacey@renderosity.com as I checked my inbox and I don't see anything from you. Please let me know

Okay I found it, sorry.

I'm forwarding this now to techs but just to note that it's https: in the url so it is secure. But I'll let the techs know but in looking through goggle about this, there is some issues in IE 11 with this even on secure https sites so I don't know why this is happening for you but will see what they say

Will appreciate you looking into this,  but after my recent fraud episode, if it cannot be resolved then I'll have to use PAYPAL as going through them for payment, I will get a notice of a secure transactions.  Amex assures me that that I am not liable for fraudulent attempts, but it's a hassle when you have to wait four working days for a new card and then notify trusted sites that you need to chance account info.

Now I get an email stating your site has given up sensitive card information to a third party, That's why I look for a Padlock icon and unfortunately my old card was hacked and now possible by new Amex card as well.. and it could have been from the lack of adequate firewall and security protection for this site   I'm glad I used PAY PAL for my last transaction but unfortunately I did use my new card once on or around Feb 28th, and I hold your company responsible if I have to ask for another Amex Card.

Also why is the Hack Notice not posted on your site?  You need to provide this information HERE regardless of how bad it may look and  I strongly suggest your IT squad find out why there is no secured transaction padlock icon when store transactions take place using IE 11

nods  Our card was hacked as well from here. I didn't get the email yet, but I found out about it on Facebook.

Ladyelf, if you made a purchase with your credit card during the timeframes this was going on you would've received the email. if you didn't then I'd be looking at other places you used that card as this could be an issue somewhere else as well. In looking at your purchase history I don't show you used your credit card during the timeframes here. Can you sitemail me more details and we can discuss further?  Thanks!!
