‘Balls’

Other than the tennis, soccer, golf balls

what about sun, moon, eyeballs, drops of water or dew,

fireworks, fruit or bouys?

The ball is in your court!

(Don't drop the ball like I did!)

** Please remember:**
Two images per member per week.
Image size: No larger than:
** 800 pixels X 600 pixels**
and 200KB

I apologise for dropping the ball and being so late this month.  My mom was admitted to hospital a week ago and time has not been my own.

helanker ( ) posted Sat, 11 April 2015 at 5:05 PM

No problem about the latency. Dont worry about it. I do hope your mom will be well very soon. What a marvellous Ball collage you have created. Beautifully done.  Great subject for this month. Thank you :)

jayfar ( ) posted Sun, 12 April 2015 at 12:25 AM

Good luck to your Mum and to you and your family Clive.

dochtersions ( ) posted Sun, 12 April 2015 at 12:55 PM

Also from here, my 'speedy get well wishes' to your mom, I hope all will back to normal soon for you and your family, Clive.
The ball-topic is a great idea, thank you for the message, my friend.

Best wishes to your Mom and you, Clive.

This is Puffball fungi; when the Puffball matures it splits open and spores escape through the crack.

WOW, what spectacular images already to admire here, my friends. So creative thinking and realized.

And for Bakapo, I recognize this (in Dutch Bovist) puffball, when they are young one can eat them (we did, and they were very tasty).

dochtersions ( ) posted Mon, 13 April 2015 at 6:26 AM

My first is simple the bubbles on the water after a frog was jumping in. I hope this. I hope this does it for our challenge topic.

@ Martin, you are right, thank you, my friend. So it's a pigskin (poison) puffball, I'm very sorry for the wrong information!

@ Carin, Thank you, dear friend, It's a very nice challenge-topic, huh?

bakapo ( ) posted Mon, 13 April 2015 at 3:25 PM

Thanks for the comments. I wouldn't trust eating anything I found growing out of the leaves... lol!

Ha-ha, Andrew, bull's-eye with your balls. :D :D !

Hi Clive, Good news about your Mom, thanks for sharing it, my friend.

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 21 April 2015 at 11:45 AM

Hi friends, hoping you like what you see, because you also could see me ;-)

btw, I got 2 times an e bot of this challenge but both are not working in a right way.
First I came on the photo-forum, and today, I saw one that whas about a message from the challenge that rockstrider had post something here, but I saw nothing here.

Anyway, here my first for this week. Maybe I also put it on my gallery.

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 21 April 2015 at 11:47 AM

How can it be, my image I just posted is missing, and that of rockstrider too. (maybe this one also)

rockstrider ( ) posted Tue, 21 April 2015 at 11:53 AM

Hi Mies

I deleted my post because I am unsuccessfully trying to work out how to place a picture underneath the text rather than having the text on the right of the image - everything I try is not working at the moment :/

I'm not sure why yours has gone - maybe try refreshing the page?

rockstrider ( ) posted Tue, 21 April 2015 at 12:45 PM

Great image Mies - very artistic!

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 21 April 2015 at 12:51 PM

Thank you Rockstrider. In the mean while I see my photo and text, I guess it go's a bit slow then usual.

So If you like to try it again, this is what I did by uploading here: writing the text, then click above on "Picture", insert the photo, and wait a bit. When your photo 'comes up' you can click on the blue Post. This must do it. Greets, Mies :)

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 21 April 2015 at 12:53 PM

Thank you, my friend.

And now I don't see the answer I just wrote to you. This challenge has to see too many balls maybe :D

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 21 April 2015 at 12:54 PM

Well, I see everything (I guess LOL) :P

rockstrider ( ) posted Tue, 21 April 2015 at 1:04 PM

Yes, I keep having to refresh the page to see the new posts too.

So, I have tried as you suggested with my post but the text always appears on the right side of the image (like in prutzworks posts) and not above the image as I want it to be.

I am wondering if I maybe have to adjust some settings first?!?

I hope nobody minds me joining in the challenge so late

dochtersions ( ) posted Wed, 22 April 2015 at 9:42 AM

Ha, Rockstrider, good that you did the two uploads of these lovely flowers, I recognize your first as a Prunus laurocerasus, or also known as sherry laurel. We have them also in our garden.

The second must be an Anemone, and its such beautiful by focus on the heart. (maybe I'm wrong and it is a Poppy, anyway, I love Anemone very much, but in our garden we have no success with it, helas).

Yesterday I reached the challenge any more. It's so strange, I got a message of: this topic doesn't exist..

but this is a Dandelion seed ball with ball-drops.

Dear Mies - my funny smilies are part of the "Emoticons" in my I-pad - so I have them only on phone or pad - if I write on PC I have no emoticons--- do you like them?

I think you will find them on the web...under "emoticons"

thank you for comments my dear friend and I do like Dandelion very much!
