This is a common problem with exports from Poser to any 3D application granted I tend to zoom in using my scroll wheel on my mouse and have had little issue modeling that way. Some have different opinion on that method but what you can do is when you import an OBJ from Poser to Blender you increase the size of the mesh within the obj import options using Clamp Size entering lets say 10 should scale the model up 10 times but have to remember when you export you need to export it as .1 or if you increased the size to 100 times them you export at .01. Now not sure why Blenders scale option has been acting a bit flaky with me so another alternative which seems to be most useful is to export from Poser then use this tool that was created sometime ago to deal with the poser OBJ scale issue of things being tiny call Objaction Scaler 3c you can download the tool for free http://mystic-nights.com/freebies/details.php?image_id=320&sessionid=9b4e7746f8e818a8911a387dd678af58 the program is pretty easy to use but again have to remember that when you export your model out you will need to scale it back down to Posers normal size so what ever you increase it by you have to decrease to bring back into Poser

I agree with you cfpage that is usually the simplest routine but for some reason I have found that Character export from Poser are not resizing when using the clamp size option in Blender all other obj I resize using the clamp size resize as they should. But truth be told I usually find that importing them as is no resizing and working with them in Blender as is has been no issue especially when I export them and re-import them back into Poser. Each person has their own way and wanted to give atpo at least two potential ways of doing it and I am confident others will chime in with their helpful suggestions as well.

I have to admit it's always been very clear to me, but I'm a weirdo about what stumps me and what doesn't. Then again, I've completely ignored the idea that there's some objective scale to things, and that the internal Poser scale is wrong. So I just go by what each piece of software says. By default, 1 Blender unit = 1m. When you import, select the object and it will say exactly how big it is in x, y, and z directions. Poser has its own version of 1m or 1cm measurements (though I'll admit that at the time I did my estimates, I was working in inches). My (very) rough estimate of scale between Poser and Blender is 2.5. IIRC, accurate is smaller, with Poser's scale being closer to Blender's than that, but I wanted an easy transform number (2.5 up into Blender, 0.4 out into Poser). That said, while I scale up by hand when I import, I have settings on my export to scale down. So I could probably work more accurately now, since I only need one sensible number (for instance 2.3 is simple, but 1/2.3 isn't). That said, working at 2.5 scale has been OK for me, though a tad big with architecture sometimes.

I'd like to point out something that I just found out myself. Like Lobo, I prefer exporting to Blender and working in the Poser scale, primarily because when i export back out, there's little issue with resizing in Poser. However, I just started using DAZ Studio as well, and when you export from Blender to Studio using Poser scale, there are two things to consider. DS will give you some selections, and you should choose the Poser scale when importing to DS from Blender. ALSO, make sure the object orientation is checked as XYZ, respectively.

Sorry no I was asking the OP as they mentioned 262.128 and Studio scales up Poser meshes by 26,218.2%. Personally when exporting from and later importing back to Study I use Custom 100% scale options. The Blender scale options in Studio have been wrong from the start so I don't trust any of the other ones either.
