There has been steady decline in including files with installer.
In early days, it would bring up readme unless you specifically opt-out.
Then later, you have to opt-in to see read me. Now, all things appear to be in doc center.
Now, it looks like when they make change to EULA, you have to agree before downloading,
instead of including files in each download.
In look back, I see that some utilities did include a PDF, but other content I don't see such.
For most content, use is apparent, (i.e., for pose, select figure and dbl-click icon and figure changes).
They think maybe 99.9% people never use such doc, so why includes.

Is what you need to get a V4 texture onto G2F. The convertor is useful and probably makes things a bit quicker. Personally I just load a V4 apply the mat I want to use and save as a material preset and then it will apply to G2F.
For Genesis its just load the mat and alter the UV I think that Genesis comes with the V4 UV.
This is a better V4 UV for Genesis 1. http://www.daz3d.com/corrected-v4-uv-for-genesis and the mats can be used as normal.
For G2F, there's a simpler way, use http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female for the uv and http://www.sharecg.com/v/70109/browse/8/Script/Genesis1-surfaces-for-G2F-and-vice-versa to rename G2F's material zones in the surface pane to their V4 equivalents, then just use whatever V4 skins you have. No conversion needed.

To Goofygrape & Vaskania,
Pardon a potentially stupid question but are those links you're talking about for converting a V4 character to G2F or converting the V4 skin texture to G2F? I've always favored Vicky characters to G2F, but seems DS is really really pushing Genesis 2 anymore. I'm intrigued by the possibility of 3D Printing my V4 character, but DAZ only allows that for Gen2.
The Links are for transferring textures, to transfer characters morphs etc you need the GenX plugin and add ons if you want to transfer older figures morphs.

There is a thread somewhere at Daz that gives instructions on how to transfer morphs and characters without the plugin.
Thanks tparo. So in the conversion, if she(V4.2) has hair, certain skin textures & shaders, vascularity add-on, and a prop in hand, does all that remain?
I hope so, cause I don't want to have to go through a process with every single scene where I have to redo everything. Like Meipe & Xameva's and I13's many different body fixes for arms, hips, thighs, shoulders, genitals, etc. And man, I've spent countless hours on posing. I don't mind removing clothing b4 the conversion, but I sure don't want to have to redo and reapply every fix & morph.
