Hello everyone. :)

I wanted to come in and introduce myself. My name is Jenn. I am the marketplace assistant and Admin here at Renderosity. I have been using Poser in some form now for about 10 years. I started wanting to make graphics for stationery and somehow found my way to poser. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination...but I do LOVE it. The first time I opened the program I broke a figure trying to put clothes on her and pose her into a decent position. The clothing fell off and her arm twisted into some horrible mess. lol And I thought I would NEVER get it. But I did...and I'm glad I stuck with it.

You can do it...we're here to help. Any question is welcome. Even if you think it's a silly question. :) I asked many of them when starting, and was lucky enough to find someone to be patient enough with me to encourage me to keep trying. It's not hard...once you learn the basics you will take off and being doing all sorts of very cool things in no time. :) If you have a love for art...and need a way to get that expressed Poser is just where you need to be. We can help you get to where you want to be. :)

Ask anything! We're happy to help.

Hi, Ya'll!

I'm Andy!  The Muse on my shoulder there is George!   (He's the smart one!)

I started with Poser 3, but didn't do much with it before Poser 4.

I've created some truly stunning transporter accidents and even some things that don't embarrass me!

I'm happy to help any way I can!!

Andy!

I'm a return after many years and suffering from old age memory lapses.

My storage site is Photobucket containing mostly 1000 pixel images.  Do I just link to the image to display?

Hello All. . .as I am about as new as a newbie can be, I am going to ask (what is for me) an essential first question: exactly how, (in minute, easy-to-follow, idiot proof step-by-step instructions) does one (me) install products into Poser/Daz? I realize that this is probably as ridiculous a question as one can ask, but I haven't a single clue as to what I'm doing. . .When I purchase from Daz it is mysteriously and automatically deposited somewhere and shows up when I look for it. . .I have content I have purchased elsewhere (not Daz) but cannot use it as I don't know what to do with it and it doesn't come with instructions detailed enough for me to understand what I am to do and where to find the folders they refer to. . .any and all help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Randall

Site Admin

In your Public Documents folder (Located in C:Users/Public/Public Documents) There will be a folder called Poser 10 Content, or whatever version you're using (in my case it says Poser Pro 2014 Content). Inside that is a runtime folder. That contains the content that came with Poser. There's another folder called "Downloads", inside of which is another Runtime folder. Unzip your purchased content into the "downloads" folder. Each zip should contain its own "runtime" structure, so merge that with the Runtime in the Downloads folder. You can also add as many additional Library runtime folders as you want, which we can get into later, for now just use the Downloads folder.
