Subject: First Project does not seem to work right with Poser Debut

RustySproket ( ) posted Thu, 18 June 2015 at 10:16 PM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 4:22 PM

Hi all,

I just got Poser Debut a couple of days ago and have been working my way through the quick start info. The "First Project" starts up ok but at 5.8 when you add "the Pad" all the screens go dark except a partial section of the top view.

There are at least 9 lights scattered around so it should be lit up.

Any ideas?

I'm at a loss here because I don't have either Poser Debut or the first project.... so I'm guessing....

What happens when you render? (Control r)

Are all the lights black?

if you put your mouse on the camera ball and push or pull, does anything change?

;>

Andy!

I dont have poser debut either, i'm on ppro2012 ... but can you explain what you mean with "all the screens" ? . so it isn't just the previewworkscene that goes black?

can you post a screenshot ?

I don't have poser debut, but "pad" comes with all versions and is easy to use.  I've done several renders with it.

however, method is advanced.  requires either removing a wall or making camera visible and moving it inside near the origin (0,0,0) but above the ground plane.

make sure the camera isn't blocked by nor inside figure or furniture.

Well I'm getting it. The camera was way out of range and behind a wall or something. Thanks for all the input. No telling how long it would have taken me....  :)
