I was pleased to see the vintage 8mm movie camera return.  I had a composition in mind, that of an aspiring teenaged filmmaker making a "stop motion" production in his family's basement.  But the camera's sales dipped below quota and thus "vanished".  When I discovered available once more, I purchased it immediately and finally set about staging the scene.

Amazingly, I didn't have to buy anything else once I had the camera.  Either I had it on hand (Hiro, his morphs and clothes) and those items I required (the lamp, tripod, basement and sawhorse table, I found for free.

Yes, I know T-Rex shouldn't drag his tail, but if you look at the boy's fashion and hairstyle, those elements should hopefully imply this a bygone era, likely the 1960s when it was still generally believed dinosaurs walked like that.

I think I should call the kid Stephen or George.  ;-)

Sincerely,

Bill

Thats a nice scene, Redfern!

I didn't buy anything 'cause I couldn't find anything to buy. I tried sifting through the pages and working with Renderosity's "search"... thing. But, it was useless. So, I bought nothing and I'm sure there are things I would have liked to have bought.

I was glad to see Aiyana for A3 back. The promo picture doesn't do it justice especially if you have Poser Pro 2014 and use SSS.

Full44941.jpgThe picture below is the same character skin rendered in Poser Pro 2014 with SSS applied.

Now that is a good scene, it certainly has the felling of the era in which it is portrayed.

As to the sale, well I waded though all 102 pages over 3 days and then purchased one item and that was only to take my order over the total to use a sale voucher.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

Fightingwolf: I wonder if the bodyglove is still available by request as promised in the promopics? Nice looking character (Aiyana) and A3 is still a competent figure.

Great picture Redfern, would love to visit that cellar and be a part of the production (playing the guy being eaten by the T-rex)

Morkonan: I dont understand the search function so there are many hair textures etc one have to look at before finding the good stuff, grab yourself a cup of coffe and start browsing.

Hornet3D: that was not time well spent, you better have another look incase you missed something ;-)

I can't list just 1 thing - so far, I have spent just over $700 picking up things I have missed over the years (and I haven't worked my way through hair just yet).

Unfortunately, I still have a staggeringly large list of goodies that didn't return.  Things like:

Keiza & Julia for Sydney by 3d-Arena

Daniela for Sydney & Mamoru for G2 Koji by Nouschka & Steve's Art

Blodeuedd for Jessi 2 by Chall-art

Jessi & James (P6) expression bundle by A_

Lolly Dolly for P6 Jessi, Satori & Mari for Miki, Xiulan for Miki 2 by atelier Arie

Shakina for Jessi, Bandida for Miki 2 by geometrya

Character & Texture Pack for Jessi by Hindsightstudios

Janet for Jessi Lores by Idler 168 (along with a number of other items they made, like IA's Outfit for Jessi & Miki, IA's oufit 5 for Miki, Clothing Pack 3 for Miki, Platform sandels for Miki, etc.  Not to mention all of the texture sets made for them by Hitman47.

Linn for Miki & Roxanne for Miki by Freja

the Miki & Koji Expressions Megapack by Jo Le Gecko

Mikido, Royaly & Pussycat for Miki, Nyl, Kessi, Lalha O~Laika for Jessi by LyRainbow

A koji texture set by Elor once Dark (lost the link)

Ik Moon Miki 2 by Ikillerich

Turkish Delight & Inuuseq for M3 by TrekkieGrrrl

I am hoping for another vault release with these items in them.

That clearance items return was a a brillant idea. I've purchased a couple dozen of items I missed in the past.

If you want to do some rigging, the Lightwave version is free... http://www.3dm3.com/modelsbank/model371.htm

The archive is password protected, but Googling ' "3dcat" password ' will locate it...

I actually had the LWO-file (zipped and password protected on disc), didnt imagine that it was so easy to find the password :-)   Thx!

Now to the hard part, rigging it (not my best skill).

Are the ones linked to in this promo any different than the ones from last month?  I've looked through a few pages, and a lot look familiar...

Not that I have been able to tell - it would help if the search function actually worked, but I suspect that would be a bridge too far for the "programmers" for the website.

I already put in a complaint-post about that for what may be the second or third time...

Instead of trying to do anything with Renderosity's crappy search engine, I just go to vendors that I know make products that I'm interested in. So, for example, the only things I generally buy are hair meshes, cause I can't make them for crap... I bought a bunch of SWAM's et al old stuff a few days ago. Not all are strip hair, some are blob meshes, but the texturing and transmapping is above reproach and it makes them look decent. (I really, really, really, really, really, wish that vendors would always include a untextured line/wire render so the customers could see what they were actually buying.)

LOL, I do the same thing.......just find a vendor I know, click on their name, then when their page opens, you can choose the "Clearance" sale on the left side. .I, too, grabbed a couple of old hairs, but just to convert them to my favorite figures - Roxie, Dawn, Miki4.  Using Netherwork's HCS, it's fast and easy to get a fit for almost any figure.

I have been stocking up on on all clothes and hair for older characters. My poor credit card.

My favorite Victoria 3 character is back.
Ultra Sensual no°9: Milena for V3 http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/ultra-sensual-no-9-milena-for-v3/46580/

Nadia for Poser 8 Alyson http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/nadia-for-poser-8-alyson/74768/ is a big surprise. She's not bad looking.
