It is amazing. I've drooled over this model before and wondered if I exported it out of Daz as obj or cr2 how much would I have to fix in Poser. I'd certainly lose the lights but wouldn't the textures come with it?

There are a couple of ways to get Dreamlight's DAZ Only products into Poser.  There is D3D's DSF toolbox sold at DAZ.  If you don't want to spend money over and above the model (buy from DAZ that way if it doesn't work you can return it).  D3D has a DSON loader script for free on his site.  You will need to have DSON importer for Poser from DAZ installed as well.  Launch the script and locate the file.  It should load.  I used it on Dreamlight's Destroyed City model.  That model loaded untextured.  I had to manually apply the textures and tweak them for Poser.  I won't say it isn't doesn't take a bit of time and effort but if you really need the model, it's can be worth it.  Once you have the model textured and adjusted, save to your library and you can use it as you use any Poser model.

 That model looks like it was modeled pretty low poly and the texture maps did all the work. I like the pool.

I have never had an urge to use something like that, though. If I did, I would just make one. Of course with the problems I have with texturing and UV mapping right now, I'd probably never release it.

I was going to say, that yes, you can convert it to Poser but you will have to do a little work to get it set up but someone beat me to it. lol  Meshbox does have some Egyptian Village models that look really good as well, but I prefer to build my own.

I've not said anything in the forums, but I've been working on a massive set called the Pharaoh's Garden for the last 4 months and it's nearing completion. The set will have a gated garden with pool on a slab foundation, a canopy, 2 types of modular columns, a modular slab to hold the columns, a planter box, and 3 or 4 grass props. But Egypt wasn't built in a day ya know. lol   I hope to get into the marketplace when it's finished.

I don't know about this model's poly count.  The Destroyed City one was a moderate poly count.  Not as heavy as one of Stonemasons obj files but not low either.  The textures took some work.  In the case of the temple's water, I'd use one of Bagginsbill's water shaders (can be found on his site or The Node Cult thread under Poser in the RDNA fourms).  I'm not sure what app he used to render the promos but it's possible he used DS3 (the model dates from that version) along with his Light Dome Pro and Mood Master 2.

 It was done in a very good render engine, that much is certain. It really pops in that promo ad. Yeah, the texturing is key to something like that, which is why I wouldn't do it. Superhero suits are kicking my backside right now. I need to just model something and practice texturing for a couple months. I have to learn my UV mapper first.

I'd be thrilled if someone would provide an  actual tutorial of any of Dreamlights tutorials!  The person doing the "tutorial" assumes the viewer already knows the program as well as he does, and between his "crash and burn" methodology and lack of direction, I've found his tutorials all but gibberish.

Maybe the render was touched up in photoshop. My understanding is Dreamlight's models may be built for far off views. It seems expansive. I've avoided DSON thus far but I'll check D3D's toolbox. Might be worth it as more and more props and whatnot require DSON these days.

icprncss2 Couldn't I just load the model into Daz and export as obj? This particular one says it's one big object, no moving parts or morphs. Then I could reapply the textures if need be. What advantage would the toolbox offer? I'm curious.

As I posted above, I used another model.  The Destroyed City didn't export well as an obj.  There were weld and other mesh issues.  The cheapest and easiest way to get dsf product (DS native format prior to DSON and DS4.5) is to get D3D's free script and the DSON importer.  You don't have to worry about export and import issues. 

The toolbox has a number of different tools.  You would need to decide if you need some or all of them.  I bought it for the dsf to obj conversion which converts dsf format to obj format.  I use some of the other scripts at times but not as frequently.  The toolbox isn't as useful as it once was since DAZ changed from dsf to duf.

DS3, Light Dome Pro and Mood Master2 can create those promo's.  Light Dome Pro and Mood Master were two of Dreamlight's better plugins.  It's too bad he didn't update them for DS4.  Mood Master was much easier to use than atmospheric cameras.

The other alternative, save the scene out of DAZStudio as duf and use D3D's script to import into Poser.

Will have to look into the D3D script cause I'm intimidated by DSON.  It just seems like so much work, but I'm sure I'm missing out on stuff cause I'm too stubborn to use it. Every tells me it's easy though.  lol   You'd think it would be as simple as just exporting the object and importing.  I've tried a straight export on clothes I wanted to make dynamic in Poser, but not on props. I know props can be fickle with Poser smoothing especially if a model isn't built to work in Poser.

Depending upon the smoothing issue, some can be helped by adjusting displacement mapping.  DS and Poser have different displacement mapping.  Make sure you check smooth polygons in the render settings can also go a ways to improving the smoothing issue.
