Welcome fiziwig2!!

I like encouraging the participation of new members to our forum. fiziwig2 has added a lot of wonderful images and techniques in his threads. I'd like to officially welcome him and as if he would like to tell us a little bit about himself.

Thanks.

I first played with Poser 3 in 2002, but then set it aside for the next 13 years. Now I'm retired (software engineer) and I've just picked up Poser Pro 2014 and started playing with comic book style rendering and post processing. I originally joined Renderosity in 2002 as "fiziwig" but I forgot my password, and I don't have the same email as I used to have, so I had to re-register as fiziwig2.

My grand goal is to do a graphic novel in Poser in comic book style. I thought The Count of Monte Cristo, but that takes a lot of period costumes that could be hard to find.(AND, it's five volumes in the original novel!!!) Then I thought Treasure Island, but that has the same costuming problem. I might just re-do a story I originally did in Anime Studio back in 2008 (search you tube for "fiziwig" and watch "The Wishing Tree") That might make a decent comic book short story. hehe.

Wonderful. A little bird whispered that there will be edge lines in the new version of Poser (11,Pro 2016). I've also just got Manga Studio EX 5, worth the investment! Between Poser and MS you can get awesome comic pages!!!

Why not write your own? Then you control the time period, the costuming, the story arc. Everything.

EDIT: you could also go all Hollywood and adapt either of those masterpieces with a modern twist. Then the period clothing would be a non issue.

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

I could give that a try. I could even do Shakespeare in a modern setting. hehe.

Anyway, that you tube video I did with Anime Studio (see original post) was my own story. That's why I was thinking of doing a Poser remake of it.

I am on my work pc and the connection isn't good enough to stream a video. But I'll look later.

I currently in the process of creating my own comic. I have been developing the story for almost 30 years. I just now got the gumption to actually do it.

You've got me beat! I only started mine 13 years ago. hehe
