Hi Diane, I thought you lived up north??? I'm in NH and were already in full foliage. I'm acualy unhapy about that too, because as beautiful as it may be, it means that I'm going to have to start shooting indoors... I hate winter, cold, wet, iky... But snow and ice storms are beautiful though. well enjoy the foliage as it hit's your airea. By the way, I love all of the images, the one that strikes me though is the bottom one. i love the depth of field used, and the (Kinda back lite flowers are fantastic. i would recomend though playing a bit with the saturation though. i love vibrant colors. -Gabe-
Interesting how in the first barn picture one branch can be brilliant red, and the one right next to it is still green. Color is beginning here in West Tennessee too; looks like this year will be a good season for color. The horse shot is great, and if the backlit pansies were any brighter, my monitor would explode! Diane, I hope you're busy shooting the next couple of weeks there in N.C. It should be awesome!
Thanks Alpha, this actually took me by surprise and I set focus by half pressing down on shutter button (and exposure too) and held that while I followed the horse until it got to where I had locked the focus. You have a great digital--I have an okay digital---shutter lag LOL. That's why the half press (if/when I get my E-10, the shutter lag will be greatly reduced). I'll try your way--I think I could have gotten better shot if I'd been using tripod too--the 6x zoom and dark skies (I brought everything up with curves and levels), zoom--and not thinking through the shot before hand stopped me from getting better shot. Practice, practice--and advice from pros smile. Phrank--I wish it were so--they are expecting this to be a super leaf color year. I'm leaving for High Point (NC) WEd. for 10 days or so for Int. Furniture Market--and after I finish my part as David's 'assistant', then I do my photo work--have 2 jobs lined up. Hope some color remains when I get back. Diane
