Subject: Looking for Saturday Night Special

quietrob ( ) posted Sat, 24 October 2015 at 11:31 PM · edited Wed, 25 December 2024 at 10:46 AM

The Saturday Night special is a cheap gun used in Noir movies for my purposes. I can find all types of pistols but no cheap 22 revolvers. It looks like this. Cheap22.jpg

or a dirtier version

you can find one here if you use sketch up and export it to obj or what ever you need. https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search.html?tags=night.&hl=en

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

But to be honest, the upper one is not a .22 gun, IMO ist .38 Special

True, the Saturday night special is a cheap .22 calibre handgun. It's the noir style that I'm after. Not the sleekness of a modern pistol but the grittiness of a 1950's detective drama. Good eye there, Jules

There are about 8 pistols like this available in the freestuff here. I did search for this one however, the website listed is either down or unavailable from the URL root to the full URL which is actually someone's email account.

Oh wow! I've been around a few years but never visited that site! It was worth the trip for the whip alone! The loupe and the luger were just bonuses. Thank you for posting the entire URL.
