I think that Poser needs jump over 'fixed' characters and start working towards truly universal meshes. 3D Body scanners are coming out for 3D 'selfies.' Someone needs to work with Smith Micro and one or more of these high end 3D scanning companies to create a Universal mesh. Right now from what I see, the meshes and the photo mapping for scanners are all over the place. Once you have a Universal mesh that can come from someone being scanned, now you can have vendors creating items for people that can actually be made and sold, as well as all the other stuff that goes along such as animations (I'm sure that once folks have a 3D selfie file, one of the next things is they'd like it to move). There will probably be several attempts - drafts if you will - before they or anyone gets an Truly Universal Mesh right anyway.

Poser's new female: Pauline will be, in my opinion the best of both worlds. She has features that we like from V4 and she has some features similar to Genesis 3. Scalability is improved greatly and expression "bones" as well. Her mesh and textures can be used as MR's as well. I think developers are going to be very pleased. Yes, I can discuss this now. Her male counterpart, Paul will be comparable. SM is working very hard to work hand in hand with content creators. I hope this at least answers part of your questions.

I have to say from the image I have seen of Pauline, she is definitely no V7 killer.

Maybe a progression forward though for Poser users from V4 but really more info needs to put forward before anyone can really make a proper assessment of the figure(s).

Well, unless there are more images of Pauline, I really think it's far too early to judge. Are there any other images of her besides the one in the RDNA thread?

From the more I see the more I stand by my initial comment I made, but maybe I will change to a Roxie killer. Pauline has a long way to go to get to V4 standard even in just the general looks department. Whats with the chin and mouth area?

I mean, you be the judge. Maybe I'm a little biased, but I definitely see some disparity in quality. Pauline.jpg

The cartoon feature is very exciting.

And again: where are you getting images of Pauline? I didn't see anything much at RDNA (one image that isn't really useful, though her feet do look good), so links would be nice :)

check this thread instead, it shows off her features better:

How does Poser 11 compare to Poser Pro 2014? I have the latter and have been quite happy with it, but am also looking for improvements. Is Poser 11 an upgrade over Poser Pro 2014, or is the latter a more deluxe version of the software? Thanks!

The equivalent to PP2014 will be Poser11Pro.

Thanks! Sounds like I'm in wait mode for the next Poser Pro release. Hopefully 2016!
