You can add all your existing content. There is no need to reinstall the 3d assets that you already have.

Just install Poser11. In the new Poser11 library, add your existing Poser10 runtime and you are ready to go. All existing content works in Poser11.
For Firefly renders, alle xisting material room setups work as before. If you want to use the enhanced "Superfly" render engine, and want to use the Cycles nodes, you can build a second material setup for the Superfly render engine. Both material setups "live" together in the Material room. Selecting one or the other render engine will automatically pick up the correct Material nodes.

Backup are never stupid :D
Backups are good. Having to rely on a database to organize content is stupid.
Poser 11 does have a database, but it's not stupid LOL. It's only there to speed up searching and certainly not "needed" to use your content. It will crawl the linked runtimes so the search features work faster and the new Keyword categories work quickly,
Wait what? Keywords? Inside the library you can edit the keywords for any content. (In the extended details) Then in the search pane of the library use those keywords to quickly find content.

Meta data needs a database. Having a database to add functionality to organised content is not stupid.

During the webinar yesterday, they pointed out a tip for telling if a Firefly node will function in Superfly. If the wire connecting the node is black or a very dark color then it is not valid. Superfly is based on real-world physics so any node setup not possible in the real world will not work in Superfly.
Stuff will, to my experience, only render black with SuperFly. FireFly should work like before.

"Just install Poser11. In the new Poser11 library, add your existing Poser10 runtime and you are ready to go." Unfortunately I have five runtimes (Poser 6, 7, Pro 2012, Pro 2014, Pro 11) and Poser Pro 11 will only show half of them. With the others I get this problem: "The added runtime does not contain proper category subfolders and Poser is unable to create them." Other runtimes might be added but only show 10% of their content! There were no problems like this in Poser Pro 2014. Why have things gone backwards?

Since I have never done it before I have a question. If I decide to purchase Poser 11 when it is released will I be forced to re-install all the content that I have for Poser 10?
