Make sure your content is installed, because when I ran the program installer from DLM, it only installed the program, but not the content, which I had to install individually.

If the Library isn't showing you probably need to allow Poser in your firewall setting; the Poser library uses your computer's loopback address to connect to the main program.

If you have the Adobe flash plugin installed in your web browser, you can check by going to your Poser 11 directory/runtime/ui/Flex/LSMGUI/bin-release/LSMGUI.html while Poser 11 is running and it should open the library in your web browser. If it doesn't open the Library, it's almost certainly a firewall setting..

Just a silly question, did you restart your computer after installing P11? Otherwise, I agree with WandW, check internet restrictions through the firewall. Content doesn't matter; I installed Poser 11 Pro and checked it while my content downloaded for the night. Everything appears in order, ATM.

Is your internet explorer up to date? You need 9 or later. Many, though not all, I've seen having library problems it was because of that.

So why don't I have the choice, where to install the pref-folder? Can't software companys just keep their fingers from my c-drive? They could at least ask, where to install. This isn't 1995 anymore. Man, that sucks.

This is just a shot in the dark, but windows is funky with some programs as far as permissions. Did you install as administrator? Are you logged in when you use poser as an administrator. Check the directories. I had a program that had to be installed in a sub sub directory or it wouldn't work properly.

radioham ( ) posted Tue, 01 December 2015 at 5:02 PM

What I think is in simple terms... 3D programs stopped being Windows after they stop support the great 3D Studio which was an DOS only program I think that all 3D programs now days are made for the Apple Mac then ported over to windows to open their market more.... Most music programs that I use now days are the same... made for Apple then ported over..... Now my daughter hates to see me on my lap top the 3D programs drive her mad.....she is an computer programer her boy friend is an T3 quite high up and he just says they are an mess

In another post a user with problems solved his problem by giving his content directory new permissions, possibly changed in a windows update. Just a thought.

I just opened it in both Firefox and IE and it opens fine. Flash version is 16.0. r0; I should update it...OK, works with the latest Flash version in Firefox. I'd make sure IE is fully updated.

The Adobe Air version works for me too; /runtime/ui/Air/LSMGUI/LSMGUIAIR.exe

As far as preference file location, that is a 'feature' of windows. However, you can easily change the location of most user folders, including the folders in the c:/users/[USERNAME]/AppData folder to another drive (don't be put off by the title; it shows how to do it correctly!)...

http://www.zdnet.com/article/dont-move-your-windows-user-profiles-folder-to-another-drive

Finally, I just saw over at RDNA that at least one user is having a problem with Windows 10 ver 1511 and PP2014...

thank you WandaW :) I ran WinDbg. Analysed bluescreen. WinDbg result is: "Probably caused by : tcpip.sys ( tcpip+62c9e )" What does this mean concerning Poser? Tried to open "/runtime/ui/Air/LSMGUI/LSMGUIAIR.exe" . I got this: Air_screenshot.jpg Is this normal?

-Timberwolf- ( ) posted Wed, 02 December 2015 at 7:45 AM

I have Poser11 since 11-11th and it worked fine until 11-30th. Now, all of a sudden, there was no library on start up and after a few seconds this session ended in a BSoD. I am thinking of an unproper automatic IE or Adobe Software update, that caused this error, but not sure - just guessing. Windows7Pro_SR1 IE11_updated 01-12 !!!

hborre ( ) posted Wed, 02 December 2015 at 8:17 AM

Sounds like the IE11 update may still be causing problems. It was like that with Poser 10 and PP2014 with the workaround reverting to the previous IE version and blocking the update.

-Timberwolf- ( ) posted Wed, 02 December 2015 at 8:21 AM · edited Wed, 02 December 2015 at 8:27 AM

Because I never use IE, I didn't care for updates - forgot to uncheck the automatic update function. Can't be the IE. Latest install is from august2015, so it whould be Adobe Air then.

WandW ( ) posted Wed, 02 December 2015 at 8:33 AM

I updated the 25th and no new Windows updates for me today. However, I'm using Internet Explorer 10.

The Air message may indicate a firewall issue; could be an antivirus or IE update...

Made some settings on my firewall, now the library is clear - only in an external browser, but my system crashes instantly after this.

-Timberwolf- ( ) posted Wed, 02 December 2015 at 11:29 AM

O.k , can't handle this anymore. something change on my system and I don't know what. Can't use Poser anymore. Not any version. It's like someone painted something on the road, so my car doesn't work anymore. Unable to find a workaround. Thank you for your tips, but none of them worked.

You might verify that Internet Explorer is not in Offline Mode: on my box the Pro2012 external library gives an error message and does not work in that case, I have to put IE back into Online Mode to have it work.

how to set IE to OnlineMode?

In my version it is an option in the Tools menu.

BSoD seems solved. IE has done an automatic update, but win7 had not yet. Since I allowed Win to do an update, I didn't get any more BlueScreens. The Poser Library in P11Pro still doesn't work.

The error message looks like you first started with the IE and then started Poser, try it in the other way. When I start the IE, I usually don't use this, without Poser running, I get an similar Error message. In my IE I added the LSMGUI.html as the starting page.

It needed a complete uninstall and reinstall of Poser after the win update to make Poser library work. Yes, NOW it works. Finally.

I had to roll back ie to 10. Its ie 11 that not only crashed poser 11 pro for me but steam updates.
