.lmh stands for Look At My Hair. It's a preset for adding the realistic fur using the the Look At My Hair script for Daz Studio. Where those files go really depends on what version of Daz Studio you are using.
Daz 4.8
Assuming you have the Daz software on your main drive (C:) the location below should be what you see. If not then it would only be a matter of changing the drive ie D,E,F,G
The folders are all here
This is where it will look for the "preset" .lmh files
If you have "exported" your hair out of LAMH then it places both the OBJ and Map in here however there is a Map folder included but for me the jury is still out on that one. Could be if you export a map only :-)
The Plugin is installed here
I don't recall this being DIM ready and it is installed much like Reality etc or any other plugin as software via it's own installer as opposed to unzipping a product for the content library.

.lmh files are presets for my Plugin "Look at my Hair" for DAZ Studio. If you don't have the full plugin, we have a free Player that can be used to apply the presets to figures. The full version of Look at my Hair allows exporting special LAMH FiberHair that is Iray compatible and significantly faster/smaller than exporting to OBJ files, as well as creating your own hair creations.
.LMH files can live anywhere on your filesystem, but the default location is in the "lookatmyhairAM" folder in the User "Documents/DAZ3D/Studio" folder.
EDIT: Also, a collection of free presets can be found on our website http://furrythings.com
